Truck problems
Just to give everybody a heads up the truck shot another plug two days ago which was promptly fixed (30 min). Then yesterday I blew the radiator hose that connects the manifold to the heater core. this is when it started going down hill. the engine overheated as it was dark and didn't see anything until the gauge climbed instantly to close to 300. thats when the engine decided it had enough and shut down. instant steam cloud. well to add to it the truck wont roll over and it started to throw codes for a turbo. Which duh i drive a flippin 5.4l there is no turbo. so as of now i reset the computer pulled the 20+ codes and she is idling now but still not back to normal.

The ruck is now tuned back to stock and you can really tell that the tranny a slipping with the bigger tires. The computer still has a couple bugs in it because i am still getting some 200 rpm jumps while cruising down the road. we shall see if it can work itself out. i may be putting the smaller tires on soon.

Sounds like you are having as good a luck as I am right now. Blew the headgaskets on the diesel last week. It's back in the shop right now. Truck is aboslutely filthy from the wet sand dunes too!!
Hope all goes well with your truck Andrew. Let us know for sure about the car show. I will try to get the lil fella out and cleaned up by the weekend.

ARP studs and Black onyx head gaskets April of this year. Loosing coolant and building pressure. It's in the shop again, I'll be lucky if I get it back by Friday.
I'll be down to Wixom on Wednesday for a meeting. Have to let you know how that goes. I might move to the area for a short time....

Update on the truck. I would have gotten it back last night but had them look into some more things. I will get it back today and I have ordered a new set of Stainless Shorty Headers for it that will go in in the next couple of weeks. The problems are a story that i will have to post later.
Lets just say don't let something go for two years even if it doesn't look like its doing any harm.
