they will cost you some coins but the land rovers up to about 2000's are nice and great in snow or off-road as my brother took his places that they couldn't get their humvee's at camp shelby in miss. the older excursions now are about the same size as the explorers are now. the 5.4l gassers suck though( to slow no power ).
don't know what 5.4 you drove but they don't suck...... both the ones i drive regularly you put ur foot down it'll set ya back in the seat and there both stock
Put four men in a Dodge quad cab and drive for 200 miles.
I bet all four can hardly walk when they get out.
Been there, did that.
Knees in dash for the front seat, knees in back of front seat for the rear seat.
Dodge Mega cab, now that is another story.
haha dont think that his family consists of four men sorry dave i had to and yes the mega cabs wow the father-in-law has one all but lay down in the back seat
Sorry, roomy was not exactly what came into my mind as I was hauling a crew to work out of town in a quad cab.
I was driving with my knees jambed into the dash.
The guy behind me had his feet jambed under the seat and his knees jambed into my back.
As I said, roomy was far from what came to my mind.
More like sardine can.
The quad cab might be OK till the kids were say 12 or so, after that they are not going to be happy.
When I park my crew cab beside a Dodge crew cab, I am about a foot longer.
And all of that length difference is in the cab.
Yes I have had four men in my crew cab, everyone had plenty of room.
HA-HA Ride around in old junk for 30 years like I have and you will very much take a liking to some luxury!!!
That's entirely fair, as I drove a 98 F150 since I got my permit, till "The Blue Beast" (she was finally christened yesterday after a awesome offroading trip ending in my front passenger tire off a cliff). I don't really feel any appeal towards the newer vehicles, they have no personality. Even the 98 had none. I mean I like the 99 superduty, and I want a '05 F150 in black for going fast.
But the older "junk" is what I willingly chose when buying my first vehicle and against the opinions of everyone I knew.
Oh and it was the expedition was lengthened to almost the length of the excursion when they removed it from the lineup, so that they could still compete in the full size SUV market while discontinuing what was deeper a "gas hog". Though the diesel did well, but everyone bought the V10 for price.
We own a '00 PSD CCLB 4x4 and it's a great truck. The cab is MUCH roomier than the '04 Dodge Cummins CCLB 4x4 we dumped a few years ago. That Dodge was the most uncomfortable truck I had ever driven. The rear seat leg room was horrible. The front seat was a torture chamber. The automatic transmission was a piece of ****. The interior, to its entirety, was junk. The Cummins could pull well.

no i do agree with you on the roomy for a crew of men is not there, its just me and my wife and groceries for now in it... and yes our company f350 crew has more leg room and stretch room than the dodges... maybe he has a short family though
