I am very interseted in an '11 (sometime). I think I want the 3.31 ratio but as I read many of the posts on here, I can't tell if the poster has a 3.31, 3.55, or something else. For sure when discussing towing and mpg the rear dif ratio would be nice to see and compare. Thanks

I bought my truck off the lot. It has 3.55 gears. It works great with my 13000# fifth wheel. With that said, I would order the 3.30 if I was getting another truck. The 6.7 with 3.55 gearing absolutely plays with my trailer. I am going out on a limb here but I suspect that few SRW trucks have numerically higher gearing than 3.55. IIRC, Ford rates both 3.55 and 3.30 the same for fifth wheel towing.

Regards

I agree with ricatic. For anybody that tows regularly, the idea of getting a 3.31 axle ratio is hard to accept. After driving my 3.55 around I can say that a 3.31 would be great.

I was not very clear in what I was interested. What I really wanted to see was posters includ the rear end ratio when making a post about MPG or trailer towing. My CGVW is about 19,000 (5-W about 11,000+/-). I tow about 70% of the time, but I thought that the 3.31 gears would be OK. Thanks for the reply.
