Thanks for the comments guys.I inherited this truck from my Dad when he passed in June.Pretty much all original including the paint.Seat inserts were redone, hood repainted, oil psi gauge installed in the dash.Original radio and speaker still work.11,000 on complete motor rebuild.I drove it home from my moms last Saturday and it ran like a clock.60 psi oil,180 water temp the whole way.Truck was always garaged in SoCal.I'll keep this truck till I'm gone in tribute to my Dad.Thanks again for the kind comments,I know my Dad would get a kick out of it.

Ya the boys are counting the days till I'm gone so they can have my classics. He he. I just brought the 66 tonner home the other day after sitting stuck in the mud for 10 years and they are fighting over it and won't let me part it out. It really is a solid cab and has low mileage on the engine.

Sounds like you got a good one.Might be a good project to do with your boys,or should I say another project.I'm kinda enjoying going back to the basics.Mine won't see enough miles to worry about it.I like the idea of opening the hood and seeing a motor instead of a electrical nightmare.I've got a few things i want to fix on it,but it will stay pretty much stock the way it is.

Ya the more I look at her out the window the less I want to part with her. But I am rounding up my toys from all over the Island and the neighbors are starting to complain. The Ranger, The 55 Fairlaine, 66 F350, and two boats. in the alley. Oh! and the big military corn binder bus that is my shop. This B___h is HUGE.
Looks great and it was your Dads, amazing what once it was just an old pickup and today so many fond menories come with Dads truck. Congrats to you and your family for all the good times that you can cherish with Dads truck. I know the feeling and it's just great to have a little part of your Dad still living thru this. May you have a blessed day. Kevin Felix
Thanks again to everyone who has replied. My Dad always maintained his things as if they were new.Heck,Mom still has the T-Bird they bought new in 94,it still only has 55,000.Dad just recently put a new set of tires on it.It still had the original tires from 94 in great shape.
The truck needs some minor body work and a new paint job,but that's about it.I'll keep the truck until I'm gone and then pass it down to my niece. It's nice to know Dad trusted me to keep it in the condition he did all those years. It will be garaged just like he did.Sunday morning cruises with him will be fun. Thanks again for the kind comments.
