2011 6.7 PSD VS. 6.2 GAS engine
FACT: 2011 6.7 Diesel specs are 400HP/800 lb-ft.
FACT: 2011 6.2 Gas specs are 385HP/405 lb-ft
Has anyone driven BOTH of these?
What is the REAL FEEL difference between the two.
With No Load in the bed, what is the:
Initial power feel? Initial acceleration?
Power feel over the power band?
Any other impressions?

I drove a 6.7 and once the turbo spooled up it took off like a scalded cat. I guarantee it will leave the 6.2 behind. Far behind. We don't have any with the 6.2 up here yet that I've seen, and we usually don't have many gassers in the 250+ because of the altitude. You're talking about a 400 lb/ft torque deficit....

There is no shame in the 6.2

In my case the almost $8,000.00 + main. cost made the 6.2 a great choice. And it is no slouch, very smooth and even power delivery. Very low engine noise, nice exhaust tone. When I ordered my machine I went with the 4.30 gears.
And I have no regrets or shame.

I test drove both... The 6.7 is a monster but so is the 6.2... and for 8,000 dollars more when I don't tow everyday. I took the 6.2 home.
Don't get me wrong I'm a former diesel head, but the 6.2 is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the 5.4 by leaps, bounds and... well... everything else that involves quickly moving forward.
