Congratulations to Trevor Bayne and the Wood Brothers !!!

Am I the only one, or did Trevor's driving remind them of a former Wood Brother's driver: The Silver Fox himself, David Pearson? That kid never pushed to get the lead, never forced the issue, but when the checkers fell, there he was, winning.

I just hope for his sake that he and the Wood Brothers get a full time sponsorship out of this win (are you listening Ford and Motorcraft?), and that this is only the beginning of good things to come in the future for this driver.

I never saw Pearson being interviewed after the race. He was there for the beginning I believe. Would have been interesting to have the newest and last winner of the 500 by the Wood's at victory circle. Thought it was cool that even Petty came to congratulate him.

Congrads to Trevor Bayne & hope the Wood Brothers come back strong again like in the old days. Like to see Ford win more races an win the manufactures championship this year an win more manufactures championships than Chevy. Hopefully a Ford driver wins the Cup this year.

It was great to see Trevor Bayne win the 500. I had been watching him all week draft with Jeff Gordon, the kid drafts like he's been doing it for 20years.

That was a great win for the Wood Brothers, they have described that working with Trevor Bayne is just like working with Cale Yarborough.

Trevor said that the only bad part about winning the 500 is that they were suppost to bring that car to I think he said Pheonix, so now they have to build another car because NASCAR keeps the winning car of the 500 to display in the museum for a year.

Pretty cool stuff.

Tony

I was over to Wood Brothers' Museum Mon. They have sponsor offers rolling in and are planning to run at Martinsville now. Which they weren't before.

1/2 more lap, and Carl Edwards would have been in the winners circle.....No black flag, and David Ragan would have been the winner............No matter how you cut it, a GREAT day for Ford!!

Dave...if not for would'ves...could'ves...should'ves!!! A great victory for a nice young man...he seems to be very humble. I thought it was great when he had trouble finding his way to victory circle!!!

The newspapers down here are really playing up the win. Nothing like a win to bring out the media. There hasn't been much in the news since they won Bristol.5 yrs ago.
