we could write about the govts spending for years. But, you can bet that there is some office in the EPA that has responsibility for looking into non-compliance. It may be that we are too few to be worth much effort and those of us who don't have to have state inspections will be left alone. I hope so anyway.

to answer the origional question, if your dealer dosent care whether you have a tuner or not then i dont see any reason why you should be deterred from modding your truck. Its a risk you have to take by deleting your DPF and only you are responsible. My dealer on the other hand told me the day i bought my truck that if i brough my truck in here without a DPF on it they would call the EPA themselves. So it sounds like you have a pretty good dealer. Let us know if you need help picking out mods for your truck.

I am planning on ordering the Spartan with DPF/CAT Delete and the AFE drop-in air filter on Monday. I have thought about the air intake and full exhaust but I'm currently thinking that is more than I need. Any thoughts?

Spartan actually has a package sale going on right now untill the 31st i think. You should give them a call before then and get it on order. Its about 400$ worth of savings.

I would reccomend getting the down pipe back exhaust system though. I regret not getting one.

why? what do you get out of this? other than replacing parts that seem to be sufficient unless you race..

thx.. now... I don't want the sound.. quiet is plenty fine with me.. I've had all the souped up exhaust I can stand over the years.. cute for around town the first couple weeks.. then its just a pain in the *** the rest of the time..

lower EGTs... well... it was designed to handle the higher ones, and with the doc & dpf gone, its only pipe out the back now..
so, why worry about lower?

Sam
