My new truck-another M35A2

I just placed my order for a rebuilt M35A2 from Boyce Equpiment in Odgen, UT. Its a 1968 Kaiser Jeep.

Im heading up to pick it up on Sept 9th...man I cant wait. I have been regreting it ever since I sold my old 1971 AM General Deuce back last october, but hind sight is always 20/20

I have a military PTO winch sitting in my garage ready to install and also several gallons of 686 tan ready to spray when she gets back home. I am going to repaint desert tan w/the desert storm inverted V.

Im still not sure if I am going to keep the NDTs or flip the hubs, and single out the rears w/49in 395/85r20 michelin XMLs...decisions decisions

Once I get the tires sorted out I am going to save up and put lockers in the rear axles (and maybe in the front but i need to install power steering before I lock the front)

Complete with what appears to be non-functional wiper motors. The end-cap of the one on the driver's side is missing.

The whole truck is getting rebuilt from bumper to bumper. Eventually I'm going to do an electric wiper install...but not for a while

That sure does bring back memories. You could run that thing on anything and wide open all day long.

I had one that was a convertable, at least the heat worked.

You can most likely replace the motors with electric cheaper and a lot easier than repairing the old ones. The last i worked on the parts were almost impossible to find

Oh i agree, if I was doing the rebuild I would do electrical wipers now but I'm not doing the rebuild work. The company I am buying it from is going the truck and pretty much replacing everything with new or rebuilt parts.

They aren't impossible to get rebuilt. Pretty easy, actually. Google is your friend, just gotta remember to look for "Trico Folberth"

I would be interested in hearing about electric replacements, and where to get them.

I have a thread here in the Large Truck forum about these air-pressure wiper motors...

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...or-thread.html

Nothing beats a properly adjusted air-pressure wiper motor for torque or longevity

I definitely think the NDT duals look better on the trucks than do the Mitchelin singles. I would love to have some army trucks but unfortunately do not have room to keep even one.
