Yeah, the 235's aren't *that* bad. My truck had them for years, and it did ok. I'd go back to them, but I haven't worn out those free 31's that had 99% tread........

 

No problem, ain't going to lose any sleep over it. I do shift a lot and now I understand why, I thought it was normal for a 6 cylinder truck motor, this forum is awesome. So could putting larger tires on your pickup without "matching" the gears actually drop your mpg?

Hi everyone, I'm back... I hope,

I've had a lot going on for a few years and my projects took and back seat. I still have both my trucks with about the same amount of work to do. Here a link to another thread where things stopped on the '81.

In the last month I did get my '81 F150 back on the road with vintage auto plates (no emissions test). I'm hoping that I can drive it a bit while working on the emissions issue and fixing it up.
