The local shop is doing the work for better or worse. The owner knew alot about E4OD's. About two months ago I was having shifting problems from 1st to 2nd gear, and he stated the VSS and CPS may be bad. I replaced the CPS and the shifting problem was fixed. He charged me nothing for the advise, a scan, and sent me down the road. I then put about 3K miles on my truck in one month towing my 9K RV all over the Cascade mountain passes, which is when I started having different different problems. Anyhow, I do appreciate the advice.

 

Sounds like you have a tranny guy that knows his stuff. Would be interesting hearing your impressions after the build.

 

Could you elaborate on the shifting problem you were having? My 1-2 shift went from quick and firm, to taking 3-4 seconds..
