Need a '64 F600 Fuel Sending Unit

Need to get a sending unit for my 1964 F600 fuel tank.
Looking at the Dennis Carpenter site. They list this part:
C1TZ-9275-K This is for the right year but states that only good for F100 to F300.

Does anyone know if that would work in my F600 that has an in cab tank? Picture sure looks like mine. If not, where might I find one?

Thanks,
Joe

It states wrong, and there's no such thing as an F300.

It's correct!
D7TZ9275G (replaced C1TZ9275K) .. In Cab Fuel Tank Sending Unit / Obsolete

Fits: 1961/66 F100/800 / 1967/77 F100/880.

What's wrong with your sending unit? The usual cause is...

The float is made from two pieces of copper soldered together.

Solder breaks down, gas seeps in, float slowly settles to the bottom of the tank.

COAZ9202B .. Fuel Sending Unit Float / Available from Ford.

Fits all: 1957/79 Passenger Cars/Trucks/Bronco's and Econolines.

MSRP: $13.17 // FTE sponsor PARTSGUYED.COM price: $9.48.

The other thing is corrosion inside the housing. When I redid my tank I pulled the sending unit apart and discovered why my gage never went above 3/4, rust had taken up residence on the resistor wire. A little 15psi glass bead cleaning and now it works flawlessly. The other issue could be a shorted sending unit. Pull it out and use an ohms meter on it to see what the readings are. If it is fine, it could be the gage itself or the constant voltage regulator.

When the ICVR = Instrument Cluster Voltage Regulator (constant voltage regulator) fails, it also affects the temperature gauge.

When the ICVR begins to fail, the needles of the fuel and temp gauges do "the hula" as they swing back/forth on their own.

Thanks for the input. As Bill thought, my float is bad. The whole sending unit is very rust. Therefore I was considering to just replace the whole thing instead of the float now and next year replace the rest. Does that make sense?

Since the sending unit has no pickup tube on it (like many others do), what difference does it make if it has rust on it...especially if external?
