My first was/is my 1978 bronco ranger xlt. I got it about a week before my 16th birthday. It's currently sitting in a self storage shed waiting it's restoration. It's black and silver with a red skanda cloth interior. It has a 400 c6 205.

I had a 78 F100 Custom, dark metallic brown, my dad gave me when I was 16. It was a 2wd, 300 6cyl, factory air and three on the tree. No radio or carpet and had a vinyl seat. We did install a factory 8 track am/fm radio in it. I loved it and wish I still had it. I have a 79 F150 4x4 Ranger Lariat I am working on now. It brings back lots of memories for me.

My first one was at the age of 16, a new orange 1976 F250 4x4 Custom Hi-boy. I put headers on it with a set of 35" grand prix tires. Man, I wish I had that beast back. In 1979 I sold it to special order and buy a 79 F150 4x4 Ranger XLT shortbed in Jade glow green metallic. I have always had a dent since the age of 16, true Blueblood!!

My first was an orange 77 f150 2wd, that my Dad bought new. I learned how to drive in it way before I had a license or long enough legs. I drove it in high school for a year and wanted a 4x4. My cousin has the 77 now and someday I hope to get it back. Got the 79 4x4 I have now when I was 16. I am almost 29 now.

Here is a recent pic of the 77.

I'm 16 also and my first was a 1978 f100 with a 300 and 3 on the tree that my grandpa bought new. My daily driver is a Nissan Titan Pro4x. The dent is a weekend warrior. In SC you get your license at 15

I think the 80's were the best time to own a 4wd. There were plenty of places and plenty of people to go wheeling with. Big tires and huge lift were the cats a$$ back then. I put a lift on a friends Chevy, he went with 40" Cepeks. At that time he had the tallest truck in the county.

This picture was probably somewhere around 4 months after I bought it.

This was my first wreck with it. Smacked right into a telephone poll.

I bought my first Dentside from my older brother when he was going to trade it for another pick-up ('79 F-150 that I bough from him years later). I was fifteen and it was a '73 F-100 Ranger. It had the dealer-installed air conditioner that took up the entire right side of the dash. Only one I've ever seen with that. Kept it three years and sold it to buy a brand new '82 F-100. The kid I sold it to totalled it about three months later. Wish I had never gotten rid of it.
