Another starting problem.
The first problem may have brought about the second one.
As the the bad battery cell caused low operatng voltage to the starter, that will cause it to have to draw more amps to do it's thing cranking the engine.
Having to draw more amps than designed for to operate, will cause it's windings to run hotter.
This goes for all of the vehicles electrical components that are trying to operate during a start with lower than designed for voltage.
So it behooves us to monitor & tend to our battery problems Before it causes other troubles down the road.
All a vicious circle.!!!!!
So when we detect a slower cranking speed, or head lights dimming, or blower motor speed slowing at idle, have the battery load tested & replace that puppy if it's borderline, or fails the load test, before it's low output voltage causes other problems!!!!
I know there are folks out there reading this, that have pushed getting a weak battery replaced, I've done it too, don't delay, get er done!!!!
lol
More thoughts for pondering.
