Now What: Fuel Lines Clogged?
So I just posted about getting a full tank of bad gas out of the tank in my 85' e-250. I bought an inline universal electrical fuel pump, and attached it to the fuel line behind the brand new fuel tank selector valve. Nothing came out when I put power to the pump. Next, I disconnected the fuel line from the metal tube and started the van, and switched to the front tank, my clear fuel filter went dry. So I have a clog between the tank and the fuel tank selector valve. Is it my sending unit? I am going crosscountry in 10 days, and would love to have 2 tanks, seeing as I am getting about 8mpg city. Any input greatly appreciated.

So, I dropped the tank today, and found the problem. There was about 5 inches of rusty trash clogging the inlet pipe of the sending unit. It was completely blocked. The tank seems to be in really bad shape. I am about to drive crosscountry, actually a week from tomorrow. I need to decide between buying a new tank and having it shipped 2nd day(looks like about $200), or somehow clean the tank out. If I clean it, How would I go about doing that? I do have access to a pressure washer, but I also just bought a new carb, and dont really want to screw it up with junk from a rusty tank.
