I am 28, about a year ago I picked up a 2007 Sierra Denali all options mack daddy truck. First time I ever had payments. 300 dollar payments suck - truck is gone and just picked up a 2000 ex with 103k miles paid in cash with savings in the bank. I am much happier not having to worry about every nick and scratch and mile added. Plus, who wouldnt want a big **** V10 suv (diesel would have put e over the cash budget)

I am 49 and finally bought my Ex a year ago. Had been dreaming about owning a diesel Ex for almost 10 years. Have a 2005 Eddie Bauer 6.0 and have put 16,000 km on it so far.
Still love it despite the warranty repairs... 3 turbos, head gasket, EGR valve, EGR cooler, oil cooler, intercooler (not all at the same time). Now concerned that the warranty has run out, and for some unknown reason I have my doubts about my local Ford dealer's service!?!

I always wanted an excursion when I was about 10 years old when they first came out in late 1999. 10 Years later I decided to buy one of my own. I purchased mine 3 weeks ago. Everyone at work and even my mother goes that is to big of a car a single 20 y/o. It may be true but I always wanted one, next car is a Navigator L.

Ok So I am a little late, I used to be on here for my F150, my 2 Expeditions, but all those are gone. Got my 2001 Excursion (126000 miles) the begining of the year and couldnt be happier. I've been toying with doing all kinds of modifications but just cant decide. I think at the minimum the exhaust is getting done. Then just debating, to lift or not to lift. I tow and travel a lot, don't want to compromise any of the towing or ride comfort, the family and two canines must ride in comfort and safety! This Ex is a beauty, Limited Edition, needs some TLC on roof rack, other than that seems pretty good. I couldnt be more pleased with my purchase. My 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 will be missed, but not that much.

My X is a 2001 Ltd 4x4 v10 and I've had it about 5 or 6 years now. I absolutely adore this truck - 8 passenger van when need be; crew cab short bed when need be; or regular cab long box when I need to haul plywood. Three oldest kids out of the house now, so my teenage daughter likes it when I put the X in "limo mode" (2nd seat folded and she sits in the 3rd seat with more leg room). Little over 180k on it now and everything still works like new, but having to add about 1 quart of oil for every 2,000 miles. Biggest problem is what to buy when it eventually dies since Ford decided not to make them anymore. As for me, 49 and "holding".
