I just returned from dealer and I will be leaving my truck with them on Monday. They found out today that the truck has not used any DEF in 1800 miles so they think that is why I regen so often. I will post what they find when I get the truck back.

I was extremely pleased with my mpg's when I first started driving the truck but it has reduced a bit. Maybe my foot has gotten heavier as I've driven it more. Sure is fun to drive.
I wonder if your truck has same problem as my truck with the no def being used. The only way to know is to have ford plug in your truck in see. As for mine Def is 100% full at 1800 miles. Hopefully on Monday I will know what the problem is.

sounds like crimped lines from the DEF tank to the injectors; i.e., the delivery trucks threw chains over the frame and crused those plastic lines so no fluid is getting to the exhaust system.
but please let us know!

I have been under the truck and found no crimped lines. I also added a Ford sway bar and had to drop the skid plate from the fuel tank, I found the Def tank is behind fuel tank right at the rear axel. I would say after seeing this there is no way to put a 37 gal. fuel tank there unless you move the def tank somewhere else.

2011 F-250 6.7L, Extended Cab, 8' bed Royal Red, 18" wheels, XLT, rear view camera, step, and bar assist, dual alternators, power rear window, power mirrors. My truck came with the 37.5 gallon Fuel tank. The 158" and 172" wheelbases has the 37.5 tank, the 137",142" and 156" wheelbase trucks has the 26 gallon tank. I don't have a clue to why they all don't come with the larger tank. To the guys with the DEF issue, please let us know what you find out. Does anyone know if the new software does anything with DEF. My last two Ford F-250, have been the long bed with the extended cab, each have the larger fuel tank. The updated software used with the trailer brake controller is great. I've only taken one long trip pulling a 7 x 14 box utility trailer. Ran into a bad rain storm with high winds while driving through Kansas. It was rock solid. Once I reviewed all the videos on Ford's web site showing the new improvements. I know I had to have it. I just saw an add for a Dodge truck with a storage box in one of the bed fenders, it contained a gun rack. Looked like a nice option ($2000+) option.

Well guys here is my update as promised. The truck is using def at 2500 miles def is at 65 % full. Ford had to give them the teck info on how to determine def level. As for the regens they say Ford says regens on the trucks are being seen at 90 to 600 mile intervals, and fuel mpg is from 16 to 20.

Ford says truck is running normal with regens at 90 mile intervals. Dealer did nothing wrong it was just that Ford did not tell them how to check the actual level of def when they plug into computer. As for me and the dealer regens every 90 miles seems a bit extreme.

Regens every 90 miles is excessive IMO. Heck, regens every 90 miles on the 6.4 is excessive.

When Ford was marketing the 6.7, didnt they say that since urea is being used the engine would regen less than the previous model powerstroke (6.4). Less regens was/is supposed to be one of the positives of the 6.7. Am I incorrect on this?

How can they say that this is normal?

What I don't agree with is 2 weeks ago when I had the truck in the shop they gave me a paper from Ford saying regen is anywhere from 100 to 500 mile intervals. Now when I took truck back Monday they said regen at 90 miles is normal. I guess if I had regens at 60 miles they would say that is normal too. You are right, the Ford rep. told me and the dealer that regens would be 250 to 500 mile intervals.

I don't have my truck yet, it comes in next week. But from what I've read from others, the regen on the 6.7 does not appear to downgrade power or mileage, vs the significant impacts to both on the 6.4. If this is true, is there really a concern with frequent regen cycles?
