the napa store down the street from me shows a listing..
if you just need the shield, hit up the junk yard...itd be the cheapest way to go
I'll try to stop by Napa tomorrow after work and see if they've got anything.
The junkyard wont really be the cheapest option after figuring the time I'd have to take off from work to go there, then all the time taking the rotor, caliper, and everything else off to get to it which is why I'd rather not go there.
I only checked Autozone and LMC truck (my usual sources for odd parts) so far.
I ordered a set of Bilstien "silvers" for my Duramax with front torsions tweaked level and 33" tires. NorCal sent a me a mixed set using Dodge and Ford shocks, 70-541 if I remember correctly, to create the extra travel I needed. I ordered a set of Bilstien "yellows" for my SuperDuty. 70-542 Again, they sent me a mixed set with more travel. I think it was a Dodge front shock and a Ford rear shock.
By the way, if you are interested in ride quality unloaded then you probably don't want the Bilstiens 70-624 (especially the silvers that are meant for more aggressive off-road use).70-540 Bilstien tunes to provide best ride when the truck is ladened with weight. I've hear Rancho shocks provide better ride empty.
I thought about new ones for my 87 so I wrote down the part numbers that were stamped in the shields E7TA2K005BB and 004BB. If I get up to a Ford dealer today I'll check further.
Sorry for reviving an old thread, but to everyone who took off their splash shields, doesn't the wheel seal behind the inner bearing seal against the shields? What's the back of that seal sealing against without the splash shields in place?
