You guys surely love those oil burners. If I was ever there once, it would be the last.

So says the guy shopping for a new diesel truck bristling with interconnected electronics.

Hopefully you won't have to dig any deeper into it than that. Been there many times.
Thanks. I came to the same conclusion as your recommendation. And it worked, for about 10 minutes before my cam sensor $#@! the bed. Getting that replaced in -12/-23 weather yesterday afternoon sucked.

Lol. My own fault really. If I had the anti-gel in there it wouldn't have been a problem. The cam sensor probably would have happened anyway. Can't stop Murphy!

Yeah, unfortunately I'm just a diesel kind of guy. In an earlier life I owned a small fleet of tow trucks and a tractor trailer, all diesel. We were busiest in the worst of weather, often working around the clock. Using power service additive was just a fact of life. I'm fortunate I've never had to go so far as to use compressed air to clear the fuel lines. Really, it's just cheap insurance to run the additive from November till April.

Replaced a caliper that was seizing up. A back log of non functional trucks in the garage and directly in front of the garage had me working out in the snow haha

Worked on a LED projector retrofit for the headlights. I'll post up a separate write up after it is done. Hit a snag halfway through and put it away for now. Need to improvise or order some new parts. Since the sun was out, Put a second coat of Plasti Dip on the 05-07 grille in flat black and let it dry. Finished up on cleaning up the orange paint from the chrome bumper. Also ordered some more replacement parts for the EX.

The below picture is a good representation, but the little black box has a proper blue 3 prong plug on a short wire for the EX.

I chose these as they are small enough to not require any modifications to the locking rings. Installation was a couple of minutes per side. The initial test had one light dropping the light on the Hi Beam instead of raising it. Turns out these lights are clockable and I was able to flip the LED light in the ring 180 deg to resolve this problem. The light pattern looks OK pointing them at the front of my house, I will have to find a proper surface to shine them on later. The light is a bright white, much brighter than my Sylvania SilverStar bulbs. I did notice a little bit of stray light in a sort of halo pattern high and wide of each side. I found this to be from the inner edges of the light housings reflecting light out. Each light does have a little fan that you can hear running when you get close to the lights. As these lights do get hot, I hope the fans hold up. I'll have to report back with photos and a better report on the light pattern once I get a chance to go out driving at night.

Low beam

Hi beam

Finished up a facelift project just before the ball game kicked off. 05-07 Front end, and 11-16 rear. Also replaced the fogs with Morimoto LED Fogs.

We made it home! Lights on for the VSC the whole way but no surprise random brakes locking up on the highway trying to kill us all.

I was passed by a 7.3 ex on the way home, same color combo as mine. Was great to smell the diesel burning behind that beast for awhile.

Lift supports installed

Excursion with extended rear lift supports.
Today I installed the ebay lift supports I received a week ago. Easy fix and now I can pass underneath. A 10 minutes job with finding the proper length piece of wood to support the gate being the most challenging part.

Taking care of leaks up top. Seems the more I do the more I find. What turned out to be "just" turbo pedestal leak is now a major leak repair project. HPOP seals, HP oil passage seals, etc. Some are just seaping, but since I'm there... y'all know how that goes. $$ + time. So next is the oil cooler/heat exchanger. New CAC boots too.

May as well do the whole top end. Fuel O-rings, turbo rebuild, ebpv stuff, bellowed up pipes, fuel bowl rebuild, etc.
