What did you do to the X today?
So says the guy shopping for a new diesel truck bristling with interconnected electronics.
As soon as it's warm enough to do so, pull the top on the fuel bowl and top it off with the 911. Add more directly to the tank. Once it is running again use the recommended amount (or a little more) of the Power Service in the white bottle to run every day during winter. Plan on changing the fuel filter pronto. Hopefully you won't have to dig any deeper into it than that. Been there many times.
Lol. My own fault really. If I had the anti-gel in there it wouldn't have been a problem. The cam sensor probably would have happened anyway. Can't stop Murphy!
Yeah, unfortunately I'm just a diesel kind of guy. In an earlier life I owned a small fleet of tow trucks and a tractor trailer, all diesel. We were busiest in the worst of weather, often working around the clock. Using power service additive was just a fact of life. I'm fortunate I've never had to go so far as to use compressed air to clear the fuel lines. Really, it's just cheap insurance to run the additive from November till April.
Worked on a LED projector retrofit for the headlights. I'll post up a separate write up after it is done. Hit a snag halfway through and put it away for now. Need to improvise or order some new parts. Since the sun was out, Put a second coat of Plasti Dip on the 05-07 grille in flat black and let it dry. Finished up on cleaning up the orange paint from the chrome bumper. Also ordered some more replacement parts for the EX.
Looking at your photos it is not obvious to me that a PO has changed out my headlight housings to something like what you got. Ok, I knew they were too clear to be the originals. Anyway, I went ahead and picked up some LED lights much like the ones you got.

The below picture is a good representation, but the little black box has a proper blue 3 prong plug on a short wire for the EX.
I chose these as they are small enough to not require any modifications to the locking rings. Installation was a couple of minutes per side. The initial test had one light dropping the light on the Hi Beam instead of raising it. Turns out these lights are clockable and I was able to flip the LED light in the ring 180 deg to resolve this problem. The light pattern looks OK pointing them at the front of my house, I will have to find a proper surface to shine them on later. The light is a bright white, much brighter than my Sylvania SilverStar bulbs. I did notice a little bit of stray light in a sort of halo pattern high and wide of each side. I found this to be from the inner edges of the light housings reflecting light out. Each light does have a little fan that you can hear running when you get close to the lights. As these lights do get hot, I hope the fans hold up. I'll have to report back with photos and a better report on the light pattern once I get a chance to go out driving at night.

Taking care of leaks up top. Seems the more I do the more I find. What turned out to be "just" turbo pedestal leak is now a major leak repair project. HPOP seals, HP oil passage seals, etc. Some are just seaping, but since I'm there... y'all know how that goes. $$ + time. So next is the oil cooler/heat exchanger. New CAC boots too.
