Looks like I gotta replace the engine in the Ex. Pretty sure my block is cracked after chasing a hydrolock problem I thought was a split tip on an injector. Thankfully my 6.0 is running solid after swapping in a new EGR and oil cooler.
The pan on the SD is mostly JB Weld at this point. As well, I have a couple of JB repairs on my EX. Hoping it holds until next year when I will be replacing the engine/restoring mechanicals.
I wish they were made out of a better material, especially since they are "so" easy to replace. My SD 7.3 came from AZ, save 1 year in Jersey, even it's pan is showing some cancer starting. I'll be adressitad that vert soon to put a stop to it. My EX is a gasser, they don't seem to rust for some reason. Good luck with your project!

Ouch. THAT would really put a kink in my dayweekmonth year.
so nice to be able to see. going to measure voltages tomorrow because i forgot my meter today, but i got my relay harness and new OEM lights installed today. I don't know how these OEM lights compare to 03-04 OEM lights but they are about 1000000% better than the crap TYC 03-04 lights

I text Stewart as soon as I saw, he and Pete went through it with a fine tooth comb replacing the cups on that side. So he's looking at another engine for it.
Rudolph's injectors have been acting up the last few months so I gave them all something to think about....a full tank of B100. It ran like crap near the end of the tank, but after filling up with the regular ULSD, the injectors are miraculously behaving themselves again.
Based on this experience, I would say if you're going to do the upgrade then go with 1Aauto instead of eBay or Amazon. They may be similar quality but for the little you will save and end up without a warranty, it's better just to go with 1Aauto. And no, they didn't pay me to say that, just my personal opinion.
I may have spoke too soon. I finally swapped the mirrors out the other day and both passenger and driver side main mirrors have a horizontal wavy area about a third of way down from the top. Really annoying and makes the tops of smaller vehicles look twice as tall as they really are. Like those funky mirrors at the fair/carnival. Going to see if I can swap the glass in from the old set before sending them back.

I knew what I was doing when I modified the engine past original specs. You gotta pay to play, and while it woulda been nice to get more than 150k miles out of it after modding it, I'm not displeased.

Nope. But we changed all 4 on that side anyway. Just a hail mary, hoping that was it, even though the pressure test proved negative.

No. Because of health, I can't wrench like I used to on major stuff so the rig is at Pete's shop.

Yeah, had my fingers crossed it wasn't catastrophic, but no joy.
Received finished pics of my steering wheel today, which was sent off to Dallas Custom Steering Wheel while I wait for LightWerkz to finish my HID retrofit. The wheel was done to match the recovered seats.
