I drove it down to Cleveland again to visit the mini flo again today. Gonna need an oil change pretty soon, all this driving sure bumped up my oil change schedule. Normal driving I wouldn't be due for another 6 weeks+. Oh well, from all the donations/gifts from church people, family, and friends I haven't had to buy diesel out of pocket for almost a month and didn't have to worry about making/buying dinner for the 4 little ones I have at home, myself, my wife, or my dad for almost 2 weeks. Truck had been flawless even with all the extra driving. Other than some jackass scraping the front bumper in the parking garage..

What I did to my ex today

Not being a mechanic like most on here I brought my 2001 EX to the dealer and getting four BFG KO2 tires installed with alignment/they wanted to put General grabbers on but I decided on the BFG's last minute. Coolant checked for bad pH so having that flushed also since I haven't had that done since 2012. Also a general check underneath/checking all Axlefluids pinion seal and are painting my wiper housings and testing the wiper motor due to wipers stopping in the middle of the windshield on intermittent cycle .
I had my oil changed just a month ago but the tech saw milkiness on the oil cap So having that and the filter changed also. Hey said ford oil filters have a check valve that the aftermarket ones don't include . So I threw that in too😂😂😂🍺🍺🍺
Time to refinance my house after this LOL

I went to the local Ford Stealership today and got a quote for $377 for an IPR valve. They must be smoking crack. Same part, two day shipping $169 on Amazon. Just think, these techs are back there eating bologna and cheese sammiches listening to CCR and taking their sweet *** time to fix your truck with parts that are more than a 200% mark up. I’ve seen it first hand, I have a company 2013 F-250 I’ve had since new and at 108k on the clock it has had over $25k worth of repairs at the dealership.

Or they have deep pockets. I’d take it to a mom and pop shop and guve my money to some people that won’t bend me over every time I walk in. $5.50 for a Y pipe bolt...no washer or nut. That’s ignorant.

one good thing about it is if it wasent for them rich money wasters that pay the price, us for folks wouldnt have trucks to buy used or drive as they would probably just stop making them all togeather, even tho i do believe if they were to cut the price of a new truck for 70 k to 30k it would be allot more fair.

Well I took today off to tackle a job I was not looking forward to.......the oil cooler(2000 7.3l). It came off fairly easily. It was messy under there due to the oil cooler leaking. So I was covered in oil up to my elbows. I didnt get a shower of coolant and oil due to some info on here and some youtube help. I put the forward cap then pressed the tube with the oil filter attachment on by using the exhaust manifold to press it on. No leaks but because I wanted to try to clean things up under the truck it took about 5 hours. I am happy with the result but not with the time it took. I guess I am slowing down as I get older.....lol.

What sizes are those new wheels and tires? What gears are you coming from, 3.73s? You are going to love the new bigger mirrors while towing (and when not towing). Which tune(s) did you get? I haven't run anything but 5star tunes for the past 6 years, love em!

The wheels are 18x9 American Racing AR910 with 305-65-18 Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires. There is a bit of rub on the rear inner fender liner at full lock, but nothing that can't be avoided (or fixed with a little trimming). I upgraded from 3.73s, and currently running a basic 87 econo tune. I also have a towing tune and 93 performance tune that I can't wait to try out once I break in the gears. And yes, I love the mirrors already. I see a ton more than with the stock tow mirrors.
