Finally did a full brake flush. Not sure if it has ever been done on my Excursion before, judging by the condition of the fluid, not so much.
Used the Harbor Freight pneumatic bleeder... really made quick work of it. Not bad for $27. Overall I'm very happy with the pedal feel, really a noticeable improvement.

Really think I need to do this on mine too, I don't think it's ever been done. Especially since the PO didn't do much beyond oil changes.

I gave mine a little pat on the hood when i came home for lunch, the trickle charger is plugged in so she will be ready at a moments notice.

Haven't replaced my rear ended Accord yet so I have had to commute in my Ex the last few days. Since I recently moved further from work it's about 55-60ish miles round trip. Mixed feelings because I love driving the rig, but it is pretty depressing knowing what it will cost me at the pump if I don't pick up a commuter car soon, let alone the mileage I would put on the Ex. All because some teen gal was looking at her phone instead of the road. Friendly reminder to y'all from a brother to not text and drive.

I came across this today, about the new F150. Yes it is propaganda, but it was still interesting... Eco boost anyone?

The new F-150 looks great, but the EcoBoost was not the engine for me, i'm glad to see the Ford pulling away from the competition. Sadly with fuel mileage requirements coming into play they dont have much of a choice. I'm glad i got one of the last year's of the big 6.2 V8

I had my front windows tinted on my F-150 today, only went 35% since any tint is "illegal" but many seem to get away with it. My first time running any type of tint and i like it!

Yeah, we did that a year ago. And it wasn't propaganda.

Nope. You got the FIRST year of the big 6.2L V8 in any platform. The 6.2 will live on for years in the Super Duty.

hair splitting, it does not live on in the half ton. It was such a short run '11-'14 and being dropped made me say "one of the last" because 3 years ain't much.

Actually, late 2010 Raptors got the 6.2, so '11 is the second year with that said..4 years ain't much of a run either.

Did some battery maintenance and added some distilled water to the batteries on the '01 and the '05. Good thing I took the time to check because the batteries on both trucks needed it.

This Texas heat is no joke and takes it's toll on batteries.

quick question... i am installing a double din radio in my truck, and the adapter harness that plugs into the truck harness has a wire for "Amplifier Ground". I dont believe i need to hook this up...correct? The only wire i have coming from my amp is the remote turn on wire...
