What did you do to the X today?
The backup lights use the old incandescent, so actually a bit brighter since the lense is clear. The LED's are very bright dead on, but you get off a bit, not quite as bright. I think I like them though!
sammie, I will have a 2hr 45min layover in Detroit on 02April, but I do not think that is close enough to be able to get to your house and stare at your broken head bolts and shake my head at your problem.
Really though, I would try the candle trick. I have heard some old timers talk about that in the past. And shoot...I have broken more EZ-Outs than you have ever seen. And whacking something soaking in penetrating oil is always a good idea. The vibration can create tiny voids for the oil to work it's way into.
Keep at it, yo.

Can't get a hammer to swing at any of these, well maybe one. Even my smallest hammer I can get maybe an inch away from the stud. I'm working on the front two (top/bottom) driver's side, rear top drivers, and second bottom passengers. Rear drivers is the only one with enough clearance for a hammer. The one that broken the easy out was the bottom front on the drivers side, above the cross member and track bar.
Thanks Ben. I am going to keep drilling today using Tungsten boring bits from Dremel. I bought 4 of those along with every diamond bit in the city, they make pretty easy work of the drilling and the flexible dremel is much easier on the arms. Then Colbalts until I get the holes deep enough and wide enough......then well not sure. May try something called a square easy out, read a few hundred more pages on people who have walked this same fire pit on this forum last night, and some have had good luck with those but the pilot hole has to deep and wide. That fails then helicoils I guess are more only option left. Candle wax is on the to list as well, ya never know.
I have the square ones and they do work better than the cheap box store twist ones BUT if I were you I would just keep drilling till just thread are left and then pick the thread out.
Yup! Modded B springs and 4"blocks out back... Thanks for the suggestion about the end links
Looks good. I only have one suggestion and this is because I had to learn the hard way.
If you take your rig off hwy at all you might want to have the end links extended to level the bar. It may clip your rear abs sensor on the pumpkin as you twist and flex the body off road.
I ended up finding the adjustable ones that hellwig makes, and they are may beefier than those that come with the bar.
Looks like you did the spring swap and that raised you up over stock.

Yesterday when I started my truck a lady flagged me down and told me that there was sparks comming out from behind the front license plate. I pulled into a park and noticed the fog lights were out. When I got home I tested the fuse and it was good and the indicator on the switch showed they were on. I pulled the harness out up to the point it gets to the frame and pulled the loom off looking for burn marks and found nothing. Now the search for the relay. I found the relay between R301 and R304 on the circuit board of the fuse panel. Going by the wiring diagram it hit me. All the testing I was doing was wrong. I put the fuse panel back together and reinstalled it in the truck. This time turned the key on and the fog lights lit up. After that I figured out the sparking she saw was the fog lights flashing as I started the truck. Oh well she was trying to help.
1 down 3 to go
It doesn't get any closer than that to drilling a stud completely out. And believe it or not the new bolt threads in fine after a little cleaning out.
1/8", 9/64", 11/64", 3/16", 1/4" left handed bit and some picking and pulling with various objects and she finally gave it up!
