Found the source of yet another coolant leak
This time it's on the driver side of the block, it's the auxiliary heater hose that helps cool the #8 cylinder. Fixed the one on the passnger side, then the driver side started.
I'm finding that after 12 years and almost 350k, these hoses are starting to give, hence the reason for me replacing the uppper, lower, and degas bottle hoses.
Word to the wise: Check and Replace your hoses with Gates premium heater hoses!!!!

Some small deliveries today
I got a visit from the brown truck and the mail truck today.
I bought an ELM327 v1.5 OBDII OBD2 Bluetooth Auto Car Diagnostic Interface Scanner | eBay so I can read our vehicle computers.
I also ordered bolts from Tousley Ford to mount a used hitch receiver.
The catalog calls for 6 regular bolts and two shear-head bolts, but I just ordered 8 regular bolts to keep things simple.
Another new toy ... er, ... TOOL should arrive tomorrow on the brown truck.

Who is that Guy???
After a little lapse from the forum to keep you from spending my money...
I did a few WeatherTech additions...
The Stone & Bug Deflector...
The FloorLiner™ DigitalFit®... (the color was not spot on but tolerable)
The Side Window Deflectors...
I had also bought the MudFlap No-Drill DigitalFit® but had to return them. The Eddie Bauer bottom trim evidently is a Flare...
That was all done on 06/18/2012...
Today, I received a package from PartsGuyEd.com for a few aggravating things since the day I adopted Hera...
The old Emblem...
The NEW Emblem...
All lined up with the "Beer Alignment Tool", let's hit the road...
Can't touch the front without working on her rear...
As someone had put in a post a long time ago...
I thought that is the way that it came, with a rusty nut...
But NO, Parts Guy Ed has a remedy for that...
Not complete until...
Other than that I have been saving my money and using it for Diesel, didn't meant to be gone for such a long time.
I do have other projects that are still in the back of Hera that still need to be installed that have been there for over six months now...

Filled her up on the way home from work....$110 and some Diesel Kleen she was full and happy again.
Now the surprising, but "I kinda figured" part:
I'd been using Matt's tow/economy tune since I got his chip last January and while it occasionally netted me 17-18 mpg , I usually saw 16.4-16.7. I figured the inejctors needed time to break it, but boy was I wrong
I checked the mileage and she netted a whopping 19.1 mpg after switching to the "Street Muscle" tune! (I did it by hand and checked it twice)
Needless to say, I'm VERY happy right now
I also got the broken heater hose fixed probably cheaper and better than what Ford would have provided. All it took was $18 for the quick connect fitting, gates premium heater hose, and a few clamps.

Btw, welcome back HardRESET!

Damn, wish I could find a car wash that did hand washes for 15 bucks. Around here it is 20 - 75 for the car wash through the machine and 150 for the hand wash to start!
Last time I was in there it took them 2 hours hand washing with 6 people! They were not happy, but I did go out on property and had to pull out my dads tractor that was stuck near the creek. lol
