I will have to try to get a pic. up on the Nebraska thread to show you what my exhaust looks like. The only reason it is still hanging there is because of a couple of metal "straps" that were welded to the pipe and on the truck to hold it together. For the record I bought it like that..

It was a complete bolt up, except for the last hanger was modified by the PO and it rusted off with the pipe on the left that went up and over the rear axle. So I went to AutoZone and got a universal hanger that slipped under the last clamp and bolted through an existing hole in the frame just forward of the tank, you can see it in the wheel well third picture, didn't utilize the hook on the last section from Gibson.

Sound wise it's a lot quieter than it was, even before it fell apart, but still has a slight rumble.

-Yanked out the shim on the a/c clutch, took it for a drive with the a/c on, she's nice and frigid like she used to be

I did notice that the clutch was tore up, looked like a set of rotors that made contact with completely worn brake pads. Guess this buys me time until I can replace it...

Put in the new gator back belt this morning and man does it make a difference! It doesn't deflect as much and seems to grab the pulleys alot better than the old belt.

I'd definitely recommend the Gatorback for anybody needing a new belt.

Loaded the X to the hilt with the 5 kids and all the campsite gear for Country Thunder. Four days of country music, beer and revelry. First time we ever started to run out of space in the X...still had the roof rack and some space around the feet empty.

Bet my two oldest, 11 year old boys, are gonna gain a new appreciation for country girls this weekend

Took my Ex to Tire Kingdom to have the alignment/front end checked - I was seeing some odd wear.
Frontend is nice and tight, toe was way off on
driver's side.

I transfered (free) the remaining 2 years on my 5-year unlimited alignment/tire rotation plan from my former
Tahoe to my Ex and they got it riding great again
and it didn't cost me anything (I'm still in shock!)

Plus while I waited, an auto-zone next store had
the Motorcraft dino oil I needed to change the oil
this weekend.

Got fuel on the way home @ Shell for $3.879 too.

Misky,

Fueled the Ex at Shell, Clarcona and 441 for $3.85.

Just FYI.

What tire kingdom do you use? I need an alignment also.

Jim,

Yeah, 0.02 x 40 gallons = 80 cents.
So I just look @ orlando fuel prices and stop by
the handful of convenient places on the way home.

I use the shell right near I4 and 436 - it's on the way home. I went to the Tire Kingdom on 17-92 in Sanford,
across from Gibson Truck World
(I need to wash out my mouth now).

Not many of the TK have an alignment machine
long enough for an Ex or crew-cab F250+.
The one in Winter Park looked up which stores I could
use when I stopped by a few days ago.

TK had gotten in the long-frame alignment machine
yesterday and I was the 2nd person to use it. :-)
There is another TK on Rinehart Rd (but I couldn't find
it on-line, so I went to 17-92 instead).

Misky,

Yea .02 is not much but figured if you are down there, its worth the stop. Its on my way downtown Orlando when I have to go to town.

I use the same shell at I-4 and 436 or the one further down 436 at Hunt Club.

Thanks for the info about TK. At least I know where to go now to make sure the machine is long enough.

Thanks
