No mention of a discount nor any price change when I went to check out. So I aborted.

Apparently my water pump failed and I decided to have my mechanic also make a couple of upgrades(Thank you Toreador for the help and the suggestions):

All steel water pump from Dieselsite: https://www.dieselsite.com/20045july...waterpump.aspx

Mechanical Fan Clutch and Adapter for the 6.0 from Bulletproof: https://www.bulletproofdiesel.com/Me...p/90201099.htm

I already have the following:
  • Cat ELC coolant
  • Coolant Filter Kit
Is there a special thermostat, or should I buy an original?

Any other updates you guys think I may need?

OK, so the discount from Seat Shop is for those who buy a full row, or at least 4 pieces. There is a discount for the full row (4 pieces...which I bought), and every piece thereafter.

Sadly I decided to pass it on the the next enthusiast... Our Expedition tows whatever I need and I bought a sweet Lincoln MKX as a daily to enjoy some modern creature comforts. I will miss this great forum and will make sure whoever ends up with it finds their way here.

Haha, "wax is dead" is all I hear in the detailing community. Collinite 845 is my go to lately.

Thanks. I will still check in from time to time. I still have two other vehicles that this site has forums for, but none as awesome as the Excursion gang. Lincoln owners just don't care about forums it seems.

Lot's of "Ex" owners stop by now and then. I'm in shopping mode now myself for something new. For the first time in many years no college tuition to pay after this last semester, the "baby" is about to become an RN.

I have found none of the forums are even close to this community. Most are dead aside from a core bunch of fanboys and no nothings, with a sprinkling of a few people that make sense.

I do hope that you do stop in here and visit, if for no other reason to keep Eric's detailing needs up to date!
Good luck with the new Lincoln, they are nice. And someone is going to end up with a very nice EX, I hope they do join up here too!
Someday I'm going to have to make that decision too, and I know I'll hate to see the EX leave, but that change will be stepping into retirement so we will be making many more big changes along with saying goodbye to the big wagon.

Tom, Just send up a flare if the diesel guys start picking on you. What hurt was trading my C6 Corvette for the Lincoln. The insurance for a family with a Corvette with a 16 year old male is insanity. They won't exclude him from that car. On the plus, downsizing my fleet will help my OCD. As a detailer it's hard to see all my dirty vehicles and not have time to clean them. Now I will just have mine and the wife's to worry about.
