Kids are grown and minus one still in college off being adults and paying their own bills.
EX is still in my garage and driver her daily. Brakes still haunt me. She has 106,900 on her now.

Depends on the state, and they all have different rules. Mostly, as long as you're under 65' total length, you're ok. Some states require a 5th wheel/gooseneck, and others don't allow it at all. Others allow up to 75' total length. Essentially, you'd have to look up each state and comply while traveling. I've threatened this many times simply because I'd like to take the boat camping on family trips. Alas, it's just not worth the hassle. This link will give you a starting point.

i wished they only used salt here as a safety measure. it seems over the last 3-4 years they starting using salt and never sand. all our roads are chalky white when dry now ND used to have pretty decent vehicles, but now it is getting hard to keep them nice

New to Excursion Forum

Got a ‘04 Excursion 6.0 EB Edition with 230k miles. Basically stock, I have the Ex as a third vehicle and sits idle 80% of the time. It’s main purpose is pulling a toy hauler, pulling a utility trailer with a sxs loaded, hauling lumber, trash, etc. My Ex is in great shape, clean interior, no rust, good paint. Great truck!

Put on a Motorcraft serpentine belt today to replace the one year old NAPA belt. After downloading the 5 Star tunes on the SCT X4 I was getting belt slippage and chirping when shifting under hard acceleration. The belt conditioner spray didn't help much and I had to keep reapplying it. I cleaned each pulley with isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush before installing the new belt. Sounds quiet under a load now, time will tell.

I hate salt and what it does to our vehicles, more so since I am one of those guys that tends to keep vehicles for a long time, out of my personal fleet of four cars my '05 EX is the newest. Here in SE PA it has snowed once this season but the highway depts have dropped salt and brine at least 4 times as there was a possibility of precipitation and near freezing temps forecast, ridiculous!
Back in November we drove entirely around Iceland, more than a thousand miles on snow and ice covered roads with lots of hills and mountain switchbacks and absolutely NO SALT APPLIED! Roads plowed down to about 2"/3" and vulcanic cinders dropped where extra traction was needed. Didn't see any cars in the ditch or stuck on the hills, I guess Iceland isn't populated with nearly as many "victims" as we have here, the locals there realize where they live and drive accordingly, around here folks seem to not want to alter their driving due to weather conditions.

Most people can’t drive without wrecking after a light rain shower much less a little ice. It all comes down to the “Nerf the World” way of thinking. By trying to make things safer things get even more complicated.

Sweet looking. Is that a retro build or rehab? What brand is that?

It's a "Terry Classic V22" by Heartland. Retro, manufactured from 2017-2019 in either a V21, or V22. Not expensive, perfect floor plan on the V22.
The one I bought is a 2019.

Looks great with your truck. I like the front kitchen with the window right there. Have fun making memories!
