I think I'm going to go with 03/04 lights in the interim.. less work up front for now... just gotta head for the 'bay.

I'll let you know what I think about OEM 03/04 lights when they arrive.

now I've got to just find a wall that I can get 25' away from with a level lot. I might have to use the bay doors at the place around the corner. I'd be about 14 feet into my neighbor's yard if I tried to use my own garage door.

Finally put my 06 King Ranch wheels and tires on. Only been wanting to do it for the last two years, finally got off my **** and had time to do it. Need to put new tires on them, but they'll get me through the winter. I like how it looks.

Looks great! Im looking to change the wheels on mine, just trying to figure out what to do. Need to stay 16" for now and I like the OEM's so thinking of a set of the holes type.

@IndyCJ What springs and how much lift are those wheels sitting under?

Nada. Bone stock. So I would say Ford OEM Saggy circa 2002 Excursion springs. No problems though, plenty of clearance, and don't rub. The wheels were off my 2006 King Ranch that I put aftermarket's on, knowing that one day I'd put them on the X. Sadly sold the KR, but still have this. Stock tires size. 275/70r18. We bought the truck used several years ago, so we haven't done anything do it other than tow the boat we had and soccer mom duties.

Backstory, this has been my wife's daily driver for the last umpteen years. She's tired of it, and I don't work very far from home any longer so I don't have to worry about burning that much fuel. So, the upgrades are about to begin, after I do some maintenance items that need to be addressed. (Steering is a little sloppy, new brakes all around, and getting rid of saggy springs in some manner). I don't want to lift it at all, so on the fence about doing the X code/Modified B swap. I might just buy 'new' excursion springs.

I am going with 20" wheels and with a stock tire, that will be 34" tall, I wanted to see other EXs that have a similar combo. Here's my ex-EX on stock springs and 18" super duty wheels.

Any way to get a grey cloth cover? I only see leather and vinyl. I'm probably going to get the cushion from them, but still would have tears in my seat.
Next question.... anyway to get a passenger seat cushion?

Also, is it possible to replace the seat cushion without completely tearing down the seat like they do on their website?

Having changed my seat cushion, I see no way you could do it without completely taking it apart. It's really not as bad of a job as it might seem.

Not sure on the pass cushion, they don't list it on the website?

I've wanted an Excursion for a long time and finally bought one a year ago but I haven't done much to it yet.

One question I have deals with with the floor flaps that velcro to the back seat. It's the flaps that fold down when laying the seat down to make the floor flat. Anyway, the velcro doesn't stick to itself anymore and the stitching is torn and it's like the velcro is getting ripped off the seat. Is there any simple, common fix for this?

And every time I turn the key off after driving, the interior lights come on automatically. Is there a way to make the lights stay off after the key is turned off?

Common fixes could be putting snaps, bungee cords, duct tape etc. But this is prolly the best fix of all.
