That's the thing, I ordered it, but the wrong one came. Do you have a part number?

I drove mine Thursday and today, Without the trailer in tow!
Our son will be living off campus at Ohio State for the first time this semester, so we drove out Thursday with all of his stuff to get him setup and ready to move in two weeks from now. We needed the EX's room for the three of us and his gear, so it got to go on a very rare non-towing trip. For the trip back home today I decided to see how it would do on fuel at a steady speed so I set the cruise control at 65 MPH and left it there for the entire 475 mile drive. I left my usual towing tune, 89 Octane Performance loaded but ran 87 Octane gas, there was no ping or knock maybe due to it not being very stressed running fairly light with just the 3 of us and a few bags onboard. It finished the trip at 14.3 MPG, not bad for a gasser with a 4" lift, 35"X12.8" tires and 4.88 gears! My last long non-tow trip was to Savannah GA and back home to just outside of Philly was made on the 87 Octane Economy tune and also at 65 MPH but it only was good for 12.5 MPG. The only real changes were new plugs, Aeroturbine 3030XL muffler and a recent trans flush along with a 6.0 trans cooler swap. I don't think the trans flush or cooler would affect the mileage at all but I am surprised at the improvement. Temperatures were about the same on both trips but today's run had more hills than the Savannah run and for that trip it was just me onboard. Curious.......

Did some maintenance work on the fleet. Changed fluids and filters on the daughter's Prius, followed by the Wife's Lexus. Then followed up with work on Airavat. Changed the air filter, added an additional turn/brake/reverse led light strip that is kind of hidden behind the bar doors, and replaced the hood struts. Tomorrow the Camry and EX will get new front struts/shocks installed in preparation for state inspection. If I have enough time, plan to detail the Camry and Jeep in preparation to sell them.

Stopped at a local salvage yard this morning to pick up some interior parts.

Replaced the driverside front and middle retractorables. Picked up the driver side rear barn door for the tailgate, the driverside interior plastic quarter panel, guy before me hacked it to mount a toolbox where the spare goes.

More-so still collecting parts for my restoration/build on this truck. Lots of things i want done before it actually gets driven daily.

I took a bunch of photos when i got it, and just for giggles i will toss a thread up during/after the X's revival.

I told the wife she better plan on putting me to my final rest in this truck, she is still trying to talk me into having it as her daily vehicle instead of my family vacation/hunting trip/toy vehicle.

I may just end up buying a second one for her, like i did with the Expy's when she tried to steal mine 🤣😂🤣😂.

Replaced the front shock absorbers with Bilstein 5100. The Motorcraft shocks in there were dead.

drove on a 600+ mile round trip... averaged 14.5 mpg with the cruise at 70. Not too shabby for a stock gas v8.

Spent all day yesterday going though parts and organizing tools for jobs on vehicles coming up. Today I will just have to stare at the Ex from the front porch. It's raining all day.
Now I have no excuse not to do some honey do list chores.
I'd rather be wrenching than staining trim wood and doing room rehab and drywall. I'm really pretty good at it, but I hate doing remodeling.
Oh, well. Time to get the demolition bar.....

Let all the noise out of my rear brakes. Used a sanding disc on an angle grinder and a can of disc brake quiet. Almost took longer to get and put away the tools as it did to do the job.

Worked on installing a 05+header panel and 07 headlights last night. Hit a snag pretty late in the evening and just put it back together as I need the EX today to transport some stuff. Biggest issue is that the 03 grille is shorter than the 05+ header. So, I now have to get a new(er) grille which I wanted to get anyways and then potentially lower the bumper so the grille would clear or get an 05+ bumper

I need to add the additional brackets from the older header panel and realign the header panel to fix that slanted grille.

Replaced the windshield...again.

Rust came back after only a year and a half. They treated it again after wire-wheeling it.

This is the area most Super Duty trucks leak down into the dash.
