What did you do to the X today?
yeah, 7643. on my 2000 was direct fit. drivers side was a bit more snug but the new 1/2" ubolts fit perfect. factory ones were probably 10mm. no drilling required here. i had to get creative with the e-brake cable bracket, i happened to have a 1/4" socket head bolt in my bolt bin and it fit perfect in the factory location w/o touching the top of the endlink.
i did buy longer grade 8 bolts for everything i could and C type locknuts and jam nuts too just for kicks. nothing should come loose. just needed like 1/4-1/2" longer bolts
gotta reposition the endlinks to a different position though, it is a bit too stiff and is making something in the front pop now :/

Today I tried to solve the mystery of the non-functional fog lights. While I can get my hands up in the bumper on both sides to get the bulbs out, I have no room to get my test light/meter up in there to see if I have power to the lights.
I've pulled the fuses and checked them, and they are good so I'm figuring it's bulbs, sockets, or the switch.
Tomorrow I'm going to go and change a sticky right rear caliper and it's brake hose. Starting to get that dreaded hot hub and brake smell from that side so it's time.

Never heard of EPA-609 certification until now. Figured it was maybe just a CA thing. Of course I would be wrong again. However, a DIY person doesn't need it, just for people working on these systems "for consideration". (as per EPA website) I learned something new early in the day today, so now I can take the rest of the day off.
Very little drama around here thankfully, it's all good.

Took the ole girl to by buddies cabin for the weekend. First time I needed 4x4 since buying it. We bought it to pull an RV not off road. I have been offloading for many years in various vehicles. The excursion is not my favorite of those haha. I put Cooper AT3s on it when I bought it. It struggled to get up a muddy hill my friends for up no problem in a Subaru Forester(they are amazing, used to have one), Ford Flex SED, and 2000 F150 4x4. I slipped and slid all over the place and tore up the trail pretty good getting up to the cabin. Had a great time though. I have 3.73 and no LS. Could definitely feel the weight of this thing.

I've got the AT2 on my 2wd Tahoe. amazing tire offroad. Didn't need a 4x4 this last winter (I did drive the X mostly though...it's more fun in the slippy stuff). My Excursion has the knock-off version of AT2 on it. Way too much fun, great traction in mud and snow
X and Mod C’s done solo. I feel like someone beat me! I still need to adjust the track bar 3/8” towards the driver side and re-torque everything after the springs settle. I have to get center caps for the rear wheels and new lug nuts but other than that she’s done for now. Original measurements were 23 1/2” all four corners, now 26” in the front and 27 1/2” in the rear. I will post these in the spring thread in the tech folder once they settle.
Let's see, today installed two new extended length struts on the rear hatch from Lift Support Depot. 8in extra lift, and no blue-pill prescription needed! Last week, R&R'ed front wheel hub/bearing assemblies with 156k miles on them (the seal at the rotating assembly joint failed on both, spreading grease into the wheel, brake area), and R&R'ed the leaf springs with a full V/C setup from Justin at ATS (springs, bolts, shackles, the works). Gained ~3in all around due to the old stock springs being so worn out.
