Since the Ex was already dirty I decided to drive it since I spent a day detailing my F150 this weekend. After like two weeks of sunny skies and 40 degree temps it hardly broke freezing today and we got a little spring snow.

That looks like a glorious vacation type day! What a beautiful country we live in and what a beautiful state you are lucky enough to reside in!!

3" over stock in front and 2" over stock in the rear. Using X code front springs and F-350 rear blocks. Wheels are 20x9" Dick Cepek with 275/65 20 Cooper ST Maxx tires they come out to 34.1" in height.
I count my blessings every day that I was born in AK! Lol

tires look way bigger than that!
wonder what mine will look like with stock springs and 33.2's....
Further wheel cleaning. Need to figure out a good clear coat to use. Looks like all tire shops have been pretty rough on these wheels
That black crap is most likely “Bead Sealer”. It gets used on a lot of wheels that get bead leaks from the aluminum oxidation where the tire seals up. Idk what would really hold up on that part of the wheel as a coating.

well, the factory coating did except for the areas that are bubbled and corroded underneath the black junk. I hate bead leaks, so i know just a good cleaning, a bit of filler on the rough parts will take care of potential leaks. done this on 2 other sets of wheels over the years. will grab a pic today before i finish cleaning since it is very easy to see all the corrosion today.
the subaru wheels i painted with a 2k clear on top of my other paint, the bead area is the only place that has actually held up. so probably just do something similar then make sure to go to a tire shop that will exercise just a bit of care
Picked it up from the body shop. The paint and replacement stuff looks nice but now the new fog lights don't work, I've got an injector acting up, and I'm not sure how the a/c is gonna work. Other than that, I got to drive it again!
I just ran the bedding procedure for the PowerSlot rotors and PowerStop brake pads I installed Tuesday. The Russell stainless brake lines and fluid flush made it stop so much better! I love the firmness versus the old rubber coated lines.
