Believe it or not AK vehicles are not really that uncommon in NC because of FT Bragg, Pope AFB, Cherry Point and Camp Lejeune. What was really unusual was the camper trailer covered with dirt pulling into a State Park that had 2 spares mounted on the rear bumper. Once I saw the AK plates it all made sense.

I see them every so often, much like Excurvelle with the large military population we see plates from all over and overseas.

For a few years I saw a Volvo XC90 with both German and Alaska plates displayed .

Parked it until new COP arrive, made 200 miles troublefree after plug change then started missing on 10, but computer says 9 too.

Pulled connecters, 10 is no change, 9 makes it worse. For some reason the drivers side COPs all the spades underneath are corroded, 10 is worst and they get less corroded towards the front. Figured I would have got more than 200 miles before issues popped up.

2 motorcraft COPs on order coming tomorrow, 8 densos which are supposed to be OEM i hope coming next week. Just going to put MCs on 4&5, Denso all others. then i will have all new instead of 7 factory with 178k, 2 unknown mileage motorcraft, and 1 unbranded unknown miles. Going to keep best looking cops and just junk the rest, probably carry one in the glovebox

i have seen those threads before abiut that. Don't really see any evidence of thst though, but will check when i swap the coils. Guess i will just dump water on the windshield to test. My wife drove it with the misfire and said it just felt normal to her, grrrrrrr. Didn't even tell me about it

New filter housing with Sinister blue spring to go on my '03 6.0. Bought my own stainless steel 5mmx0.8 socket screws to use along with some interior star lock washers, replacing the galvanized screws (or whatever they were, they were magnetic) that came in the Ex and in the Sinister kit. The new OEM housing doesn't have the regulator cover threads tapped, so my buddy and I were wondering if Ford just rams in self-tapping screws, which is a comforting thought. We bottom-tapped these threads in his shop. He's going to weld and helicoil the old housing so that it can be reused should myself or anyone else find themselves in need of a replacement. The plus of this newer housing (the PN calls it a 6.4 filter housing, but it VIN matches to my 6.0 according to the Ford techs, so it must be a recommended upgrade) is that it doesn't need the stupid spring seat sleeve and o-ring that were giving me problems with my old housing, since the casting has the shape of the sleeve included in the design and the plunger just slides right in. I like it much better.

I will be putting everything back together this weekend. Much easier to put the blue spring stuff together with the housing on my floor as opposed to hanging over my engine bay LOL
