I set them up to be white with the headlights turned on and change to amber for turn signal.

California too.
I'd make a small wager no state allows forward facing white lights that high above the headlights, without some kind of vehicle code that addresses when it's allowed to be illuminated.
Russ, I know it seems to comes in waves, but you know Skip means no harm. Sorry for the loss of your friend, buddy.
I know I've been really scarce on the forum over the past few months, but let's keep the same level of fun and respect for each other we've always had, ok guys?
I don't have to ask. I know you are loving the results.
I stopped the guy from doing too much more than just the springs & shocks. I still have to get the new track bar installed and replace the wheel bearings. But, so far, the ride is different from before. I am not able to completely tell the difference probably 'cos of some of the work that remains to be done.
For now, I am happy that my EX is back home and parked on my driveway!!

Apparently NY allows white lights as long as they are DOT compliant and not flashing, oscillating, etc as I posted above. Shocking but it does explain all the light bars people drive around with here. The DOT compliance seems very loose and non-specific regarding an aftermarket clearance light. It focuses more on the output and beam pattern of headlights and tail lights, school buses, commercial vehicles, trucks. It seems there is no restriction on the brightness of reverse lights either. But I gave up reading the whole thing because its too long and I'm falling asleep......
