Sounds like a plan, I was curious about the lug nuts as they are the fine thread and will only fit on '03+ EXs, but there are other nuts available that look the same but have the earlier coarse threads.

Too bright for the camera.

Are they LEDs in the standard reflector housing or something else? What brand did you get and what is the pattern in front of the truck? Thanks for any info.

Is there something different about the Harley rim vs the stock 16 with regards to how the lug seats into the the hole and face of the rim? Is the bevel different or something? I was planning to run the lugs and center cap that I have now. Am I missing something?

LivingLarge had his 6.0 done without lifting the body off, I've seen it done a few times, there is enough room to do everything. I think many mechanics like lifting the body off to have easier access to everything, it's somewhat of a comfort thing.

Sorry for any confusion, the '04 H-D wheels use a unique to them center cap that mounts to detents in the actual wheel vs how all the other wheel's caps mount onto the lug nuts. With the original H-D caps on the lug nuts show, so the factory setup had closed end chrome lug nuts to add to the H-D package. Of course being an '04 only option (actually was standard on H-D trucks) those fancy chrome nuts have the later model fine threads vs the earlier SD and EX coarse threads. I think the thread pitch changed in '03.
The special H-D nuts (and the same look replacement F-150 chrome coarse thread nuts) share the exact same mounting flat washer face as all of the other OEM wheels. So there is no problem using your stock nuts on the new H-D wheels with the standard center caps, there a few guys here doing exactly that.

Thanks buddy, I was in a cold sweat since the rims didn't have the center caps. I have so much work to do over the next couple of weeks. Parts are arriving and stacking in the garage. X and B mod springs, billstein shocks, wheel bearings, dynatrac ball joints, radiator, power steering pump, red head gear box, all tie rods, drag link, PMF track bar, international water pump, carpet, ranch hand front rear bumpers, grill, ssbc front brakes, etc etc and then off to the paint booth. Ole girl is getting a make-over.

The secret is undoing the motor mount on one side to tilt the engine in one direction or the other.

It's honestly what I should've done last summer when my transmission was out. I wouldn't be driving around with leaking heads.

Dropped $100 today on 4 gallons of Rotella T6 ($19.22 a gallon) and a Motorcraft filter at Wally World. Going to stop at Tractor Supply for some Hot Shot Secret on the way home.

I needed to change up my rocker switches, so I decided just to redo the whole panel.

This was my original job about 2 years ago.

This is it now. I decided I am going to change the interior colors as well so I will start changing it over the lighter parchment color piece by piece when I have the time.

I feel this is a much cleaning look. I just need to figure out what to do with the CB now.
