The Ex has needed brakes for a while now as a rear rotor was shaking the truck to death whenever you used the brakes. Finally had a little money to order the parts this week and the rear rotors/pads and front pads showed up yesterday. Ok, well the rears are the issue so I'll knock those out today and do the fronts once those rotors arrive.
Drivers side goes fine. Slide over the passenger size, pull the rotor, and find this
Well that is probably why my parking brake didn't work as well as it used too. Ugh, ordered all the parts to fix that and just gutted the parking brake on that side for now.
So I button it all up and head up the road about 20 miles to go talk to Comcast and when I get to the next town I can smell brake pad burning. After a few moments sitting at a light I can see smoke off the drivers side rear. Ugh, FML. Pull up AA's website since they have a 20% online deal right now, ordered the caliper, backed in to a spot, picked up caliper, installed it in the parking lot, returned core, and went on my way an hour later. I half *** bled the caliper so the pedal is spongy, but at least I'm not cooking my new brake pads now. And the death shake IS gone.
OH and Comcast's system was down so I couldn't do what I went there for

Installed this new harness last week. Very straight forward and made a noticeable difference in how my Ex started... I guess the existing battery terminal was corroded almost to the point of snapping off. Actually, when it was removed, the positive terminal did snap off completely with minimal force.
I was going to compile a How-To, but honestly, it was so straight forward that it seemed like a waste. Should be noted that you need a trim puller for the radiator shroud, a 8mm, 10mm, and a 15mm deep socket to complete the install. Have to take care when routing the lines to the starter and part of that bundle has extra protection where it rests against one of the coolant lines. All in all, about a two hour job to remove the old one and install the new one.

And you are correct, never too late. Any post install pics?
