For several years now I've said that I would trade the Excursion for a truck if the right deal came along.

We traded trucks and and titles and I gave him $500. (He ended up leaving some goodies in that he was originally going to remove.)

It's not a perfect truck but its fine for what I need. Plus it has the center front seat/flip-down console (from a 2010) so I have 6 seat belts for the whole family if I need.
I think it would sound better if he gave you 500 bucks. As long as you are happy with it, that is what makes a good deal good.

Thought about you just the other day Scott, sad you're leaving the Excursion family. We'll have the guys in the local chapter jump you out.

Rudolph had been profusely leaking oil and I couldn't track it down. He gave me a hint the other day by stalling in traffic 3 times. This morning I pull the CPS and it came out way too easily, come to find out the o-ring was long past done. I still replaced the sensor with a spare black one I had (bought the last two Clay had eons ago) and the truck fires up nice and smooth. Acceleration is better and it has way more *****.

Now I need to degrease the bottom side bear the crank and see if anything else is leaking.

More like what I did with the Ex today...got done with a quick 350 mile round trip two-day visit with a buddy of mine in South Central GA.
Close, his 2001. Far, my 2000. Both 4x4 7.3's.

I installed a led flasher so I could run the led switch back bulbs I bought back in like November. Also I pulled the lights in my lower valance off for a cleaner look. Then I used the Ex to pull my Cushman out, tomorrow I'm going to get it running again.

Just for checking it out and testing I bought one of these cheap $7 shipped led lights off ebay. Metal housing, looks sealed well, and has pretty decent light. Not quite driving light bright but would make a great fog light or work light. I plan to order a bunch more for my trailer and pontoon.

Headed to Dripping Springs on Friday for a little family vacation. South of Lampasses the trans blew the trans pump seal (again). I thought we might catch on fire for a second due to the amount of smoke in and out of the truck.

I was able to get pulled into old abandoned gravel quarry driveway where we were out of traffic. The seal must be completely out of the pump due to the amount of oil pouring from the bellhousing.

I called the shop owner that rebuilt the trans and they were super apologetic but this might be the last straw for this truck.

What are yall seeing for '02 4x4 limited 7.3 X's in your areas?

Right before I cant say but 225-230 is likely. This trans has actually been higher than the stocker by 10-20 degrees. Not sure why as the trans is really unchanged from stock except new frictions deals etc.

I am not sure yet if the bushing spun or if the seal only failed, not even sure what seal it was. I will find out Tuesday.
