New glow plugs and oil today.....7.3 still runs like a champ! Mechanic offered $25k for my Excursion!!

 

I get a couple people a year offer to buy mine as well. Great feeling!

 

I am tempted - 155k on my 7.3, but I worry that I will regret it.

Drove the Ex in for my 30 mile commute instead of grabbing my shuttle because it's Friday and a beautiful day in the Pacific NW. Nice to make it through a whole trip to work without the brakes/rotors getting all sticky and wobbly.

Well, I did it. After owning her for over 8 years, I finally got rid of her. My buddy had been bugging me to swap with him and the money finally made sense.

Traded for a 2001 F-350 single wheel XLT Crew Cab 4x4 with 285k miles and the 7.3l diesel.

For several years now I've said that I would trade the Excursion for a truck if the right deal came along.

We traded trucks and and titles and I gave him $500. (He ended up leaving some goodies in that he was originally going to remove.)

It's not a perfect truck but its fine for what I need. Plus it has the center front seat/flip-down console (from a 2010) so I have 6 seat belts for the whole family if I need.
