I may make a deal with a local dealership that loves to sell people lifted trucks. They will not give me what I could get from a private sale, but I may be able to slide into another car from their lot.

Took The Beast desert camping to ride the dirt bikes and have some fun with the new light rack, which might have involved my son, a 22, and some jack rabbits ;-)

I went and got my first estimate to fix the damage on my truck today from when that ******* pulled the gun on me last year... $1k. Not sure what I'm going to do, I was honestly expecting it to be about half that. Also that was without paint, getting it painted jumped it up to $1,700!!!

I was thinking about it also, wife want to keep it though, market is flooded with them cheap anyhow so i doublt ours would be worth anything.

I made a deal on this Excursion, I'll tell more tomorrow once it's a done deal and I have it in my possession. 2000 Limited V10 4x4 175k miles, clean title, runs and drives great! fluids look good, everything works except the door lock actuators. It comes with a fender, header panel and headlights.
on the hunt for a hood, bumper and snow tires as the ones on it are junk. Needs a really good cleaning.

Use a shop that your insurance company recommends. This way if you have a problem, your insurance company can light a fire under them and it'll get taken care of.

I'll go look it over better today before I buy it, if it looks like a bigger headache then i thought I'm walking away.

I just grabbed the truck and ran it down to my shop, crawled under it front to back, had a few of my guys look it over. It's totally try underneath!
I bought it for 2,700 with the header panel and fender, let the rebuild begin!
