I didn't lay in any sound deadening... I may down the road (wish I had thought about it for today but alas I didn't).

Installing the new carpet seriously sucked! The carpet came molded but not cut and the big girl needs lots of holes in the carpet. The carpet itself wasn't hard to cut just tedious. The pad on the other hand was terrible! It's a real dense pad that is very fibrous so the razor knife and heavy scissors were both mostly ineffective but they eventually got it done.

As much as I hated the install process I do love the Finished product. That said... Taking pics of black carpet is pretty futile but here you go:

Middle seat

I did the way back too but that was a few days ago. I have ordered the matching floor mats to match the carpet.

Fired the Ex up tonight and decided to try to fix my noises that came about after my springs and new sway bar parts, looks like things had loosened up so far so good.

10 PM I Decided to take it on a test run and I found the end of the rainbow! Out of nowhere!

Looks good, I'm doing a swap like that in my pickup, but going with black vinyl instead of carpet. Easier to keep clean! Lol

Went to hook up to my trailer, stepped on the brakes and blew out the hard brake line that runs from under the drivers door along the frame rail, and back to where the rubber line from the rear end connects. Anyone happen to know if these are available pre-bent ? Or will I need to bend up a line myself ?

New steering wheel cover. Walmart $9.95 special 14.5-15.5 size. Heated up with hairdryer for few minutes and slipped right on. Fits great, nice and snug. Match is pretty good to seats and door trim. Slightly lighter than the wheel color. Has burlwood accent.

No? not sure how that would even be accomplished. Running X-codes from ATS otherwise stock shackles and other mounting points. Maybe the angle of the photo and how the wheels were slightly turned...idk

This was right after the spring swap. Don't mind the 2016 bumper in the first photo.

After a round of Hot Shot Stiction eliminator followed by a course of Mega Power engine cleaning protocol over the last 1000 miles, the X got a crankcase of 15 qts of Mobil Full Synthetic 5W40 Turbo diesel oil with a dash of Lucas full synthetic oil stabilizer and a new Motorcraft filter. There was only about 3000 miles on the old oil but I just got this back at the first of March. By the time I did all of the cleaners, that was some seriously black oil.

Hey, that's pretty cool. Is it a V10 or a diesel? Assuming diesel but I'd like to see proof of a V10 making it this far.

P.S. Please clean your wheel off.

I at least knew it was diesel but question is 6.0 or 7.3?

I would love to see a V10 hit that mileage unlikely

Based purely on the non-digital odometer it is likely a early (2000) 7.3. I think that it was only the 2000's that did not have the full digital odometer setup, but I have been wrong (only twice though)

I picked up the new carpet from rock auto... I think it's the standard grade carpet and upgraded pad
with no interior, these trucks look 10x bigger inside than they already do WITH the seats in place haha.

i recently gutted my crew cab f350 to pressure wash the stock gray carpet. i was going to order new black carpet like you chose to do, so it hides stains and dirt like you said, but since my 04 f350 only has 43k miles, it was already pretty clean, and definitely new looking (no rips or anything) so i took it out and pressure washed it a few times then wetvac'ed it as dry as i could, let it air dry for like 5 days outside, then reinstalled. looks brand new now (and has that "new feel") but was a lot of work haha. i just saw the post with pics of your new black carpet (quoted your first post though) and it looks great! almost makes me wish i had went with the black, especially since my interior is gray and my paint is black!!

but yea yours looks awesome, i LOVE tan interior with black carpet (your interior looks tan at least on my computer). my excursion has a tan interior, and the carpet is not as nice looking at my f350, so i plan to eventually order new, probably black, carpet for it. i saw that the carpet padding was not what you expected, and there was no pre-cut holes in it. would you go with it again, or go with a different company? where did you order it from? i may do mine sooner than not, so i'd like your input on it if you don't mind

the other option, cheaper, probably just as much work, is leaving the stock carpet in, and gluing universal auto carpet down to the stock carpet. i've done this before, it wasn't very hard and turned out great, granted it was in my mini cooper lmao, so the whole thing is probably the size of the cargo area in our excursions lol. i still may do that, likely cheaper (how much was your kit btw?) and to me easier or just as much work since you can leave the stock carpet in and just need to take out the seats and the lower trim.

Again, the finished pics you posted looks great!!! i love cloth seats too, people think i'm crazy but i traded a buddy my leather limited seats for his cloth seats that were in great shape. he liked leather and i liked the cloth, we both feel we made out like a bandit! lol
