Jon, the Volt is done for? I hope Wendy is OK and that your luck turns around soon!

Today was the first good top down weather we've had...I loved it! The Ex will be used tomorrow to haul a trailer load of junk off.

Oh and the new license plates came in!

I was under the impression Centric, Stoptech and Powerslot were all one company. According to the link below Frozen rotors and Power slot "teamed up". Not sure what that means. From the second link it does look like different processes.

Adjust your mirrors all the way down and you should be able to take a long flat head screwdriver and depress the two tabs inside the top of the mirror housing. I removed the chrome caps from my f250 and had the painted ones textured w black line-X.

Replace the rear door belt mouldings they said, it'll be fun they said......

I dont know how to put a caption for each picture so I'll try this.....

Rust, I found rust. I thought the moulding was what would be rusty but no, its the door.

Then, I cleaned it up a bit, really wanted to sand blast it but not this time.

Painted with rust cover Krylon, the rattle can of champions.

I also found that the lock rod was not attached to the intended retainers.

The bottom seam is sealed from the inside, not sure how it rusts.....yes, min are starting to fatten.

Yeah, he's got some cool ones. There's one where they take an RV and strip it to the frame and turn it into massive go cart. Fun stuff.

Wow, after some digging into the car I realized how bad a stage 2 or 3 clutch kit would be in this thing! My imports have consisted of RB swapped 240s, H22/23 swapped del sols and civics, and mini trucks. As far as american "imports" it's been older escort GTs, and the focus. All of those make more than 9X HP and ran stage 3 clutches from day one. I had no idea this was a double digit HP vehicle. I wasn't expecting 125 or anything but at least 105 or something!!!

Yeah, it makes me insane.....to see the way they spread that **** and not care....then blame us for not taking care of our cars, keeping them clean and such....I know why people go postal. If I didnt have such a good job, I wouldnt live in this craphole end of the country.

Im trying to save the EX this outside (summer) season by having the rockers rebuilt and now maybe the doors repaired. Then, like others on the site, store it in the winter and drive a disposable POS for the crap season.

Sorry, but I become a very negative person when talking about snow/salt/cold horrible awful no good worthless unlivable weather. I hate the seasons, dealing with the seasons and the damage it does to everything....house, grounds, cars, health, mindset.......its just no way to live.

I've put 15k on them since this and they have been phenomenal. Great braking both under aggressive driving get hauling and towinget.

I know exactly what you mean. I hate the way they salt the roads here. I need to have the rockers done too. And I have 2 small holes in the floor in the back right next to the tailgate next to those rubber plugs in the floor. It really sucks. I'm lucky I got a free undercoating on my Toyota Sequoia when they had a recall on the frames (if they found a hole they replaced the frame, if it just had surface rust they gave it an undercoating, luckily mine just had a little bit of surface rust). And it doesn't have any near as much rust as the Ex. It's strange how they designed the Ex, besides the few rust prone areas, the rest of it is rust free, like not even a little bit of rust. I think they just didn't engineer some areas of it properly.

No go on the pics. We got too busy and I didn't take a single one.
