Took the EX to see my body guy for rust repair recon. Sounds like a hefty bill, ugh. But, on a good note, I found out he has a set of Harley wheels sitting there that he wont be using. The one we pulled out had a few spots of decay around the edge so we can only assume the rest have the same going on. The tires are tossers.....he asked me to make an offer......didnt know what to say. I told him I would call him this week. What do you guys think they're worth?

New hitch in the X and 192RD. Are there any words of wisdom to offer before we take it out for the first time next month?

I have not owned a camper before. We always used a tent. Haven't been able to camp since lil one was born 3yr ago. Figure this would be better for her as well as the 8yr old lab. Our first 2 scheduled trips will have hook-ups. I am not sure about future ones.

Well trailer looks brand new but you would still want to do a point to point function and safety check with it. Inspect tires, pressure in tires, if has electric brakes make sure they working when hooked to truck, wheel bearings make sure they are properly greased, hook it up to electric from house and make sure it all works appliances, make sure no gas leaks propane, check proper fitment on hitch to truck, I might be forgetting something but besides you and family and the gear you will need I think your good to go

Get yourself a portable generator if you plan to camp boondock style. That way all you need to do is add fresh water in your holding tanks and stop anywhere that allows free camping. Run generator if needed for electricity obviously.

Thanks for the guidance Irish. It is brand new. I will hook it to my generator on Thursday and verify everything. I haven't done that yet. Several boxes are coming weds; sewer hook up, fresh water, etc

Walmart can be your best friend on a few simple RV supplies. That's good you have a generator not sure of your power wattage but you may or may not be able to run AC on the generator if it is a lower unit. At least you can run lights, water pump, etc.

I can name a bunch of items that will make things easier but feel free to PM if needing more guidance. I have had a few RVs, I just picked up a used Fifth wheel toy hauler, old one 1980 working on restoring, but my parents were full timers until my mother passed away this past year. My dad still goes out though with their newer style fifth wheel toy hauler. So I know my way around them to offer advice.

How do you like your 08 and up mirrors? Thinking about upgrading my 05 ones.

The mirrors were a big improvement. The larger bottom mirror is great for towing. I like to see the wheels of the camper. I got the badges from Truck emblem warehouse.

Where did you get your mirrors? I see a lot of them online telescoping ones which I need of course and heated since mine currently are heated but just didn't want to go with crappy quality ones.
