What did you do to the X today?
I normally don't loan out tools unless I know the person well enough and know that they have what it takes to buy it from me if they trash it. If not, I would rather just help them work on it so if the tool breaks, it is on me. No big loss here as I have the tool back and the money for it. I just cant see how he managed to bend it up like that with F150 springs.
Agree !
See below from Pop.
Yep.

Thx Pop, got it.

You've gone past Death Valley, into Nevada, and now you're in the ghost town of Rhyolite, near Beatty.
Interesting "sculpture" done back in 1984 by a Polish guy named Albet Szukalski.
There's more than what you've shown, and the whole thing is called "The Last Supper".

You will end up lowering axle almost to ground but with floor jacks stands, and low profile jack it's easy unless this job was something else
It's 5" of 4000 psi with fiber and mesh. This lift only needs 3.5" of 2500 PSI. Concrete guy wanted to know if I was parking a small tank on it.
That wish list was pretty dormant while the kids were growing up. Only good part about getting OLD is being able to buy some toys.
It's a Bendpak HD-9 XW along with 2 rolling jacks. 4 post is safer for a doddering senile old fool to operate and it will do everything I can possibly want to do. I'm not quite to doddering and senile yet, but I am hoping to make it there before too long.
Not operational yet, but the heavy lifting is done. Cherry picker worked real well for assembly. The instructions BLOW!

Today I pulled both batteries and put them on the charger. Cleaned drivers side ground at frame with a wire wheel. Added a 2/0 cable from frame ground to engine block. Put the batteries back in swapped positions. Also redid the connection to the output post on the 230 amp alternator. It has the 'juice"
Nice rig love the color my wife's is the same except yours don't tell her I said this looks.in better shape lol. Kidding she just has paint faded and that oxidation due to California sunshine!
I love the rack though did you just attach it to the preexisting rack system already up there or bolted into roof?

The Surco safari rack attaches to the original tracks on the roof. The PO of my truck removed the factory cross bars long ago like most people do (since they make a mess of the paint).
All I know is he has a 2015 F150 4x4 and raised the front end with a leveling kit. It looks pretty good now. I was able to take the spring compressor apart today and bend it mostly back into shape using my 20 ton press. However, it is probably fatigued and will bend back easier now. It took a lot of force to bend that barstock in that direction though.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose, that would be some scary **** to use a tool like that under that pressure and it bend. I wouldn't reuse that tool I would trash it. Seems like you said it would always have that weak spot.
