What did you do to the X today?
EBPV Delete
EBPV was leaking, so deleted it... started this project last week, but I didn't catch the need for a Garrett High Flow Outlet to replace the butterfly valve and rod... had to wait a few days for shipment.
Then the starter died... sigh. Took the starter off, went and hunted down the receipt from 2007 and headed to O'reilly Auto Parts. The guy at the counter said, "Wow thats big. What'd you take it off of?"
The next comment came when they plugged it into the tester and started the test sequence... "that doesn't sound good". I have to say, I don't think I've ever heard a starter make those sounds.
Best part was it was a warranty swap with 0 dollars out of pocket.

Fixed the factory red/clear lens on the inside of the door.
The tab had broken off the lens when I was working on the door a while back. I tried several times to reattach the tab, always unsuccessfully. But I bought some LazerBond especially for this task. I'm glad to report that it secured the tab back in place like a champ. Life is good!
It's kind of a small thing, really. But it irritated the crap out of me.

So, it was super nice today. So warm in fact I washed 3 cars in the driveway IN A TEE SHIRT, the first day in April, in Alaska...crazy!!
I was lazy eariler in the day with the Ex and running it through the carwash haha. Funny how much energy you get when you leave work early on a sunny Friday.
did a decent job

As you see, I can't stand rust either. I purchased the X out of Detroit and it came with rust everywhere, but I got a great deal for it. I'm hoping I will have the front undercarriage ready for Rudy's diesel show next weekend here in NC.
That's a messy job for sure. I started my rust project outside but it was quickly halted after my neighbor complained about a plume of rust finding its way into their garage.
What are you using to treat the rust? I used Ospho rust converter and then finished it up with POR-15. I've been pretty happy with the results.
