Lol! It was $579 before tax and $10 background check. All the reviews seemed good if not the best entry level one compared to some others out there. I've only shot 20rds through it but it does seem nice.

You paid just about as much as I did. Mine was tax free and a $7.50 background check. My next one will be a AR 10. Good to hear you like it.

Thanks. Yes it is quite a chunk of metal. It was all i could do to hold it up with one arm while starting bolts, but I got it done.... without having to drag the wife or kids under the truck with me.

Swapped out for 08 trans pan and filter and modified direct clutch solenoid. Definitely improves 3-5 shift

Changed my transfer case fluid and boy was it nasty. Looked like used motor oil from a diesel. Used all three quarts of XL-12 to make sure it was flushed out. Then I replaced my factory trac bar with the Zone adjustable. Wasn't as bad as I was dreading. I did have to cut one end down just a bit to get it short enough to fit initially, then I was able to turn the adjustment sleeve to center the axle as best as I can measure. After one drive I can see my springs/spring bushings going back towards center and no longer up against the spring pockets. You can see how much stress the factory trac bar bushings were under and it wasn't good. Now it just needs aligned again and I may have them check the torque on those big bolts. I gave them all I could with a cheater pipe ,but I am guessing they are a few pounds short of 400.

Local shop or someplace else? Don't think it would be likely to find those prices here in California nice score

I shopped around and most places had the AR for $630-$700. But I found it on sale and decided to get the LCP while it was on sale also for $219. For both guns, 9% tax and $10 background was just under $888.

I have built 7 of those myself using Anderson upper/lowers at around the $400 mark. Pretty easy to do really. Found good used parts or parts on sale. Here is one I just finished. $375 Easy to buy stock parts from those who want specialty parts. Now I just need an Excursion rifle rack.

I was going to get one of the anderson lowers for $50 and build from there. But I decided to get one ready to go and then build the next one(s). I've got a wife that loves to shoot and we have 5 kids that will probably want to try one out also. So, I think I'll be building a few of them soon.

Here is mine, it's all assembled from individual parts. Only thing missing here was the CMC drop in trigger assembly. I have a touch over 2k into it.

I did just a month ago buy a couple more Anderson lowers, just in case they get hard to buy down the road.

Some of the S&W MP's are lacking the forward assist, does yours have one?

To keep it on topic I did use the EX a couple weeks ago to pick up another FNX .45!

Hey guys, I would recommend taking it to the Club or GNAC before the thread gets brownholed.
