Disassembled everything and painted my grill inserts with some satin black.
Thinking now the tan piece below the bumper chrome will have to be done.
I used Krylon for plastic on the grill and worked great. A buddy suggested Plasti-Dip for the tan plastic on the bumper.
I will have to do the tan on the back bumper as well, and may do the running boards... if I don't change them out for different ones.

Hooked up the battery tender today, since the truck was sitting for over a week. Goes in the shop on Wednesday.

Installed a grill from an 07 f250 XL. I have paint to color match the body but I'm digging the black. Blends well with the bumper & wheels.

Looks good, but make sure the rear bumper will match everything too.

Your grille looks great, nice job! And that is a very clean looking black EX you have there.

That beefy rack will look good with a fresh coat of paint, did you find something special to do the front bar with like you had mentioned? Will you be able to get the side and rear lights added on this trip? Looking forward to seeing it all completed!

I'm a big fan of the painted to match grilles on these trucks, but I think you have a pretty cool look going on there with your rig. I like the black grille with the rest of the goodies you have that are black.
My kayaks don't fit on my roof rack sideways like that. .

Is this a custom color on the Ex?

I am using jut a flat black and we will see how that works. I will be welding the studs for the lights before we put it back up. I won't actually wire the lights until I get back home.
