What did you do to the X today?
I don't normally use Turtle Wax products, but I have had a "Jet Black" set for a while now and gave it a try today. I have to say that it did work to help hide the shallow scratches like the ones you get under your fuel filler where the cap sits. It is a two stage process with a liquid cleaner wax that is tinted black and a black tinted liquid carnauba wax. It also has a few bottles of black tinted detail spray to help with wax removal and detailing. It wipes off of chrome or glass or the other colors without leaving them black, unless you had a scratch in one, then it can be difficult to get it out. However for your hands... If you use this stuff....wear gloves.
These pics are before cleaning the running boards, wheels/tires and windows and right after the last coat of wax.

If I ever replaced the grill I would get that one too. Not sure where mine came from but I like it better than the stock ones I've seen.
PO Added the inserts...
No, on the 2005 model original grill and front lights were changed... Here's mine, but on the limited trim they were painted same as body.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It is a big job for sure.
LL is right, the XLT got the shiny bumpers and grille While limited were body color. Some XLT's have the lower cladding that doesn't go over the wheel arches like mine while some were plain. My front end is completely stock save for the black Ford oval. Fords peeling emblems are to thank for that.
Ok update on the shock's. I bought them yesterday from a 4 wheel parts store that will remain nameless lol. Said store is about an hour away. I called them at around noon yesterday and placed my order and told them I would be there before they close as they are an hour away and I had to play school bus for the minion's. I get up there pay for them load them up and head home. All good so far. I swap out the driver side, passenger side, and install the new dual stabilizer. So far so good. I get to the back and pull the back shock down and go to start swapping them out and notice that one of these things is not like the other. I call said store and a speak with someone other than the person I spoke with yesterday and find out that they sold me the wrong rear shocks for my rig. It is 2pm and I have daddy daycare going on as the better half is working today. He tells me he can have me the correct shocks on Tuesday unless I want to drive up today to get them. I explained that I spent "x" amount of dollars and took off early from work to drive to his establishment and that I shouldn't have to wait until Tuesday to finish my project. He agreed to personally drive them done to my house this afternoon after he closes so that I could finish tonight hopefully.
Rant over
