What did you do to the X today?
Had a great Memorial day, spent with my family at a car show raising money for vets.
The weather called for showers and sun later in the day. I thought the showers had passed as it started to dry up as we headed to the mall it was at. Well after getting a hot dog it started raining pretty good, so good in fact we put the tops up on the cars. The sun did finally break through and they had a great crowd there. This event was put on by the local Corvette club and they did a fine job.
the rain
After it cleared up.
One of the local news stations took an interest in the '56 Bel-Air
This guy took best Vette and Best in show, it's a '57 with all new running gear/suspension out of a newer ZO6

We actually went up to look at some used trucks for a friend of mine, but all the ones she found online turned out to be pretty rotted. And we ended up having to drive an hour east out of our way to rescue another friends parents, but we still had a great time! Lots of memories

Ok, so I've had this lust going on for those damn Harley Wheels. After bugging Mecdac to pick up a set in NC I changed my mind because it would have just been more work than it was worth.
So, the next part of the tail starts night before last, I had been drinking, like... almost always... I was browsing the interwebs, craigslist style, and BOOM, there it was. A semi local add for a fella selling a set of HD 18" Wheels with caps.
I decided I needed to test Stan's new headers on a road trip. The bonus was the amazing scenery that Eastern Oregon has to offer. Amazing ride, and it was beautiful. (Sorry I didn't stop more and get better pictures)
The long drive was worth it, almost 400 miles worth. Those HD wheels are just beautiful. I paid 700 bucks for them with the caps, and the cost of the trip was less than 100 bucks. Now they will sit in my bedroom until I get some tires ordered I plan on wrapping them in Hankook Dynapro ATM 285/65/18's once I use up some more of his stock tires.
The route:
Rattle Snake Gulch (not what it is called, but the river down there is called Rattle Snake River I think)
Precious Cargo:
Lie-o meter was about spot on. With the headers and the new tune on the 91 Octane Performance Tune I was quite surprised.

Those look cherry from the angle the pic shows! I think by summers end it will be verifiable that more H.D. wheels will be on Excursions than S.D. trucks!
The EX did a fantastic job pulling the camper for a weekend trip to the family homestead in the middle of Kentucky. Dropped her off this morning for a new bank of injectors to fix a little stumble after it was hot. Getting four new Ford injectors, cam sensor, ICP and pigtail and something else I know I'm forgetting. Thanks to Ed at FICMRepair.com for the help with all the parts!
there is actually a kit for the 6.7 nose swap i believe from a small company in mass...i know they have one for 6.4 nose swap, 99% sure they have one for 6.7 too
It's the HD Excursion revolution!
