What did you do to the X today?
The niece will be watching Saturday... day cartoons, so all should be well there
Cold beer will be present. Though I am a Drunken Unicorn, I will try my hardest to wait till... noon... maybe... to start drinking
I do not currently have any broken studs. They don't look very corroded either. Fingers crossed.
Thank you! I didn't actually expect you to shoot me a pm so quickly! lol
I will make sure to follow up with some sound clips too so everyone can hear the difference

hey i commented on your post on diesels of new england asking about plowing pollen lol
Wrenched most of the day, but took a break due to the rain.
Tore into the drivers side front wheel. Since we bought the X we can't drive w/ the hubs unlocked because when we get to around 45mph and hit a bump there is a terrible vibration. So I thought this was classic needle bearing failure in the hub so I ordered new bearings and a slew of other parts to go along with it.
Took it apart and the bearings looked great! They were greased up and felt pretty smooth. No marks at all on the yokes. They were perfectly smooth. The u-joint looks and feels solid. Same with the ball joints. They had already been replaced with MOOG problem solvers.
So swapped out the bearing and reassembled it. We'll see.
Also swapped the driver side shock, the drag link, and the steering dampener. Going to tear into the drivers side and just do the shock at this point.
Any ideas on that vibration? I'll check to see if it is still there w/ the new bearings, but I suspect it will be.
