Oh, our rear shocks are different than the F250s? Good to know thanks! I had just been looking at f250 shocks as I assumed with the added lift from the x/mod-Cs it would bring it up to stock F250 shock height.
Yes, ours have the bar pin with a bolt on either side of the shock to bolt up to the frame. There are such things as bar pin kits for regular shocks, and bar pin eliminator kits for our style shocks, but I'm not sure I want to experiment with what might work or not work. I haven't ordered my new rear shocks yet but plan to shortly.
That should have been a short job. Only 8 lug nuts, 2 bolts, 4 nuts, a couple snap rings and one wire. Hr job at the most I'd say.
Ordinarily I'd agree. Having never done a hub on the truck, I took my time. Only took 2 hours of actual work. Those two bolts on the caliper mounting bracket are a royal PITA.

Ya, them bolts are quite snug!
That's not a bad amount of time than. Next time you'll prob take half as long!
Took my Ex on one of the first good runs since my thermostat upgrade, the temps were a solid 202 and it looks like the MPGs are a bit higher, at least according to my lie-o-meter... Oh, and my Ex must have given birth or something, because all of the sudden, there are two other mineral grey Ex's running around here
