What did you do to the X today?
Not sure what the rules for posting the names but it is a SmartWitness KP1. State of the art. Way more money than the eBay sellers but if you google it, you'll see why.

I am glad to see many more people coming around and seeing the light about ethanol though!
I have hated the stuff from the beginning and voiced my reasons everywhere I went.
I hope some day all gas will be ethanol free again. Of course we can keep that one E85 pump way off on the side for the people that think they are saving something.
Once you get the other wheels on and either your existing steps or some new ones, she'll look good again. It's a little harsh to see those factory wheels with ancient tires on them.
Decladded the beast today, not bad took a while - the 3M eraser wheel is a lifesaver! Ripped off the stock running boards then installed a S&B intake as well since my stock intake showed 75% restriction with the 38R and tuner. One crappy spot of rust found on the fender... something else to do on a nice day now.
Don't mind the stock crap wheels, my 20x12 hostages are off till I get the rear sorted out. (traction bars and add a leafs)

We shouldn't be burning a food crop to make people feel better about driving their cars.
I'd rather be drinking some of that corn likker !
What brand parts and where did you get them from? Any issues with installation? I'm planning to do the same with mines plus shocks?
Got my X back today after the latest set of items being completed.
With 149k miles, my X runs and drives like new (perhaps even better).
The latest included a full steering and frontend rebuild, brake work including braided steel soft lines, rebuilt parking brake system and new axle seals front and rear.
Steering is tight and brakes are solid - awesome!

The steering gear was ordered from RedHead although you can get a Motorcraft rebuilt from RockAuto a few bucks cheaper. Redhead is cheaper than getting the steering gear from a dealer.
Installation was problem free because I outsourced the job to a mechanic. However, if you have the time and space, several threads around here will guide you through it.
