What did you do to the X today?
Re soldered the overhead MPG/compass/gallons to empty thingy. It stopped working last week while I was on an extended tow. I was a little disappointed because I was curious to see what the lie-o-meter showed while I was hauling my trailer. Got it fixed and it shows 14MPH, BUT I'm not sure if that is the last recorded mileage, or if was still tracking, or where that info even comes from. Either way it seems to work again... For now.

Well it still called the Lie-o-meter but I average 18.5 without trailer traveling east coast no real hills at 75mph and 17.3 on a recent trip with some nice hills on the way to the mountains in GA. So, 14 sounds good... Don't tell the V10 guys
So I've done a few things since my last useful post. Nothing major but good stuff none the less. Painted my scratched up Ford oval in the grille. Mounted the coolant filter and changed to the RiffRaff intercooler boots. Also removed all the B side goo from the drivers side tube. Used carb cleaner to soften it up and then the edge of an old gift card. An old credit card will work I guess but the thinner cards are more flexible.
On another note, I have the PCV mod done with a home made oil collector. Im getting some smoke and it stinks. Mainly noticeable idling at a light. The smoke is only seen at night via others headlamps. Im wondering if plumbing it through a more advanced collector/serarator, like one on a compressor, then back to the intake tube is a better idea than venting to atmosphere. I guess another option would be to attach the outgoing hose to the exhaust like some do on their race cars. Opinions and parts recommendation welcome.
Next steps include flushing the cooling system and completing the coolant filter install and installing these.

Hey now, my Lie-O-Meter is pretty accurate...shows 8.7 MPG
So is mine, it shows N, S , E, W and sometimes a combination of those.
Actually, my last 2 ex' have been pretty accurate. My V10 averaged about 10 and my 6.0 averages about 15 both same kind of mix city/ hwy. on my long hwy only my current one showed 18.3 and my hand calculations were 18.5 or something like that. It's close enough that I trust it.
